    what?

and... well... the game doesn't even tell you whether a crash was fatal or not, it doesn't give you a damage report or the repair costs or original price of any vehicle. You're stepping ahead of time.

I thought about this the other day, I wonder how many of the new beamng players don't know about the role players from ROR? It was one of the surprises I had when I got ROR, I hadn't even thought about people using it to role play scenarios, I at that time just wanted something with more crash physics :D

    Crash Description:
Marvin bought a mild custom D Series with sports suspension and alloys and decided to take it to the track. He convinced his friend Jimmy to come along, who brought out his old Moonhawk from his garage and stripped it for track use.
Both were inexperienced and ended up crashing. Marvin understeered into an inconviniently placed palm tree while Jimmy couldn't handle the tail-happy V8 and ended up flying up a steep bank and crashing to the ground.

    Parts of Car Critically Damaged:

D Series: Bent chassis, body damaged beyond repair

Moonhawk: Body and chassis destroyed, differential housing broken

    Estimated Repair Cost and/or Totaled:
    Both totaled

    Injuries
Both wore helmets. Marvin had mild whiplash and Jimmy broke his left thumb.

    Map Used:
    Inlet Island Raceway

    Car Used:
    Gavril D Series
    Bruckell Moonhawk

    Aftermath:
Marvin parted out the car on the D Series entusiasts' forum.
Jimmy bought a 6 cylinder Moonhawk with a seized engine from an old lady and transplanted his V8 into it, while selling the old shell to scrap.
Both are hesitant to go back to the track.

Crash Description: Last Sunday during the 1974 Club Moonhawk Annual Festival of Muscle, tragedy struck with the death of Veteran Racer Johnny "Checkers" Benwood. It was the final lap of the 100 lap Moonhawk Sport Exclusive as, side by side, Checkers and rookie racer Harrison Smith, both of whom had dominated the race, rounded the final turn. In a risky move that proved to be fatal, Smith chose to take the upper lane. Unfortunately, Smith had no room to move away from the wall at the exit of the turn, with Checkers's car mere inches away. At a speed of nearly 100 mph (160 kph), Smith slammed into the wall, his car bouncing into Checkers's car, shunting it down to the inside of the track in a slide where it collided with the divider wall between pit lane and the track. The impact was so horrendous that Checkers most likely died instantly. Meanwhile, Smith's car, having lost control, collided with the outer wall, where it proceeded to roll down to the inner wall of the track.

    Parts of Car Critically Damaged:
Checkers's Car: The entire front end of the car was totaled.
Smith's Car: The car suffered medium amounts of damage to the front half of its body, the front half of its chassis, and its engine.

    Estimated Repair Cost and/or Totaled:
Checkers's car was totaled, while Smith's was repaired for $10,000. A new Bruckell Moonhawk was purchased for $35,000. This was all carried out by Club Moonhawk, as they supplied these cars to the racers for the event.

    Injuries:
Checkers died on impact, presumably as a result of smashing his head against the steering wheel. Smith cracked his skull and broke his left arm, left leg, and a few of his left ribs. He is currently recovering in the hospital.

    Map Used:
    Akron Speedway

    Car Used:
    Moonhawk Classic Sport

    Aftermath:
The Benwood family is suing Akron Motorsports Association for $10,000, as they believe that if the walls on the track had not been so stiff and so hard then Checkers would have survived. The association is currently under investigation for several safety violations. Some officials believe that this event shows that the time is ripe for increased safety measures in all areas of motorsport. Smith's family refused to let any reporters interview him, saying that he is too distraught at the loss of a fellow racer and that only the cannibalistic, innocence destroying monster that is the media would try to interview a man in such a state. A similar reaction was met when reporters attempted to interview the Benwoods. A memorial race in Checkers's honor is currently being planned by Club Moonhawk.

Crash Description: During a Monster Trick Rally on the outskirts of town, a couple driving their beloved modified Bruckell Moonhawk decided to try and get a better view of the destruction. They parked their car at the North exit of the arena and decided to watch the rally from there. At first it was going great. They were having fun and getting a great view. But about half way through, one of the trucks known as The Mighty MiniMonster spun out of control after speeding over a hill of dirt. It slid a few meters and started to regain control, but by then it was too late. It slid into the side panel of the illegally parked Moonhawk, and then drifted out of the arena.

Parts of Car Critically Damaged: The Moonhawk suffered some major damage to the drivers side panel and to the top of the vehicle. The front windshield was also completely shattered. The MiniMonster got away much better though. Only suffering some minor damage to the drivers side front fender. However also suffering some suspension damage, it will be a quick fix and at the state it's in, the vehicle is still functional.

    Estimated Repair Cost and/or Totaled:
The Moonhawk will need a new drivers side door as well as a new windshield. However since the top of the car suffered damage, this is a large issue. The top of the vehicle does not simply just come off. The entire frame will need to be replaced. Costing around $10-15k. In total the full repairs might be around $15,000. As for the MiniMonster, it got away much better. The drivers side fender will be replaced costing a low $125. The suspension was slightly damaged as well from the impact but will still only cost around $650 to get some minor repairs.

Injuries (If Any): The man at the drivers side of the Moonhawk walked away with a major concussion but otherwise no one was injured in this accident.

    Map Used: I
    nsane Testing.

Car(s) Used (You don't have to include authors):
The MiniMonster and the Bruckell Monhawk Sport.

    Aftermath (lawsuit etc):
The driver of the Moonhawk decided not to press charges because he himself was parked illegally. He knew that if he decided to sue, that would have been used against him.

I just looked it up. According to ehow, a car is totaled "...if his vehicle has sustained significant damage or if he cannot afford to restore the car to working order following a collision, natural disaster or other damaging incident." Also, I did some research and realized that the cost for the Ibishu would probably be at least 5 times as much as what I originally thought. Based on that I would have to agree that the car is indeed totaled.
