Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. You can always get a new PSU When are going to be upgrading? Might as well wait for AMD's new series that's coming soon. Unless of course you are wanting to pick up the 7000 series for cheap after there new series is released. btw have you guys seen the way they are naming the next series? I heard it will be R(7,8,or,9) then 250 or 270. So like a 7770 would be a R7 270 and a 7950 would be like a R9 250. It seems rather confusing. :/
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Ah, read 3GB as 3l. Ok then, do you think it's worth it with the R9 series coming out soon? I can get one for $219USD. Maybe less with some research.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. I'd wait, the new series is gonna be released next month.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. I really want one as they release, but that means I have to upgrade my case as well (it barely fits a 7770). That will be at least a $300-500 upgrade, depending on which card I decide to go with; but I also want to pick up the PS4 when it's released. And that will be another $600 after I pick up PSPlus and a few games. I have nearly $2500, but I am like the most frugal person every. I am an extreme hoarder of money. I cannot part with it, which I guess is a good thing. But I'll probably be that guy who lives in a trailer park, yet my bank account is stuffed with millions of dollars
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. But then we'll have a $600 flagship instead of $300. *sigh* I guess I'll wait, hope it doesn't turn out like where fermi was better compute than some Kepler. Compute weak would not make me happy, now the evil wait begins.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. I had to google what folding is. Very cool to say the least... My mom was diagnosed with leukemia 2 years ago, a few days ago her doctor informed her it was finally going into remission thanks to the brutal chemo meds she has to take. I guess my gaming desktop has a new use, I'm pretty eager to try this out. I have a very custom cooling/intake setup on it.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Sorry to hear that man... If you want to contribute to the team:

Team Id 224614

Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. That would be awesome! Just make sure you fold for beamng and use the beta units.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Oh you can count on that. Thanks for the info.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Take a good, long look fellas...That's right, 1st place baby! P.S. This will probably be the first and last time I will ever have 1st place. So bask in its short-lived glory!
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. Finally got to my desktop. Am I doing it right? (imported from here)
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. I didn't notice I had been folding for Overclock.net, changed it to the proper team now. Watch out
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. So just noticed today that again I am folding for the wrong team. 224208 is RoR, should have been 224614. Fuuuuuu.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. If anyone is looking for a new graphics car, I gotta say, the 290x over 5TFLOPs of computer power. If anyone wants to donate $6000 for a new computer for me I will include quad cf of this beast.
Re: Folding @ Home, Seti @ Home and other DC projects. I'm curious as to what a graphics car is. Is it this? I'm probably gonna go with a R9-280x unless the 290x is at a good price point.
