That actually happened back in the spring, when demonstrators gathered outside a campaign rally in Costa Mesa. Also, word on the wire is that a lot of these protestors are being paid off, including the ones that are throwing tantrums right now. Besides, they're hardcore left-wingers, many of them college students, so it's a safe bet than not many people are missing work for this.
Sounds about right actually. Oh how the left has fallen in the last few years. Bit of a shame really.
TRIGGERED Seriously though I feel bad for good, honest left leaners because the more outspoken people on the left make the whole lot of them look like idiots. Although I guess the same could be said for the right in the past. Maybe this is just me, but it doesn't seem like a good idea to stand that close to a moving car, especially one moving sideways.
So, Miata configurator. So much fail. Someone needs to find a Mazda product planner and punch them right in the face. Can't get the 17" wheels, the splitters and spoiler, or the Brembo brakes unless you move up to the Club model which costs a lot more and loads it up with infotainment BS you don't need. There is no known to way to assemble an equipment list that consists entirely of "radio, heater, all exterior and perforamnce-enhancing options, nothing else". Way to ruin the point of a sports car, Mazda.
I was going to say Legnum but then I realized you live in the states and you guys only got the sedan versions of the 8th gen Galant. Just cos https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/cto/5881795691.html A civic that hasn't been riced. Hey at least it's free entertainment.
Buy an older miata, a real miata. Gone are the days of the honest to goodness sports car. everything is too refined, too proper. the packaging is so well thought out, because the engineering hasn't changed in the last 20 some odd years and they need something new for the salesman to brag about. cars aren't really that much faster or more reliable since they were in the early 90s as a whole, but they come with built in tablets and like you said, infotainment bullshit. really, in a miata? totally with you on this.
That's why most of the cars I want to buy are made in the last millennium. if you want infotainment buy a luxury car which is where these systems should stay.
Visited Honda today to look at something to drive in the summer and keep my Acura RSX for winter beating around, decided to wait till the new Civic Type R is released in Canada and I'll go to that. Otherwise it would just be a waste to buy a new Civic.
I actually really enjoy driving my mom's cx9 when I can get ahold of it by myself for a bit. It has a pretty peppy v6 and the trans is geared relatively short. Makes for a somewhat entertaining combination. Manumatic modes in automatic transmissions is bad. It's an awful compromise between manual and automatic and its just terrible. It's a bastardization of both the manual and automatic transmission. A lot of the time I see people doing it they just .. up the shift points.
The one in the Fiat 500 is pretty good. It's the only one I've come across that was actually usable, at least. We ended up getting the manual anyway, though.
I like the one in the Mercedes C actually, it worked fine for me in Austria when I was driving in the mountains for the first time(few months after I became 18). The only thing is that you need to learn the car's ratio very good with a 8spd. Even the tractioncontrol and esp were quite forgiving when I gave to much throttle in a hairpin.
My mother bought a brand new Mazda 3 Neo on the 10th of this month. I drove it a fair bit, gotta say I never expected a base model Mazda hatchback to be so much fun.
Most Small hatchbacks are fun imo. My mother drives a Skoda fabia with a 1.6, and it is a lot of fun to trow it around the corners with the light steering and fwd, on high speeds it is not very comfortable but who cares.
The fabia is really good to drive fast with my sister has one and it only has 90bhp bit it really is able to keep up in the city even with faster cars also it feels a lot faster than it really is
What size tyres does the Fabia use. @Blijo @skodakenner The excel that I have uses 175/60something/13or14. It will be fun to throw into corners but because Excels weighs so little they grip up really quick and will catch you out if your not ready. Luckily that happened on a race track.
Cant remember if I've said this before but my mother had a pink 1998 Excel 2dr, she could get 3 kids (one in a car seat) aswell as her & my dad crammed in it. One time she even managed to get a dining table in it. Got stolen one night & written off. Luckily insurance money got my parents a 2nd hand VR Commodore station wagon (This was back in 2001 so both cars were fairly modern).
NO IT'S A TRAP I've dropped nearly $5,000 in spares and repairs (and very little on mods) in less than a year and still get eaten by EP3s... Please send help. The ND MX5 is the greatest MX5 to date. While NB is an updated NA, NC is a "ground-up redesign" based off the RX8, the ND is completely new, and captures jinba-ittai in its purest form. It's lower, lighter (except NA), faster, more efficient, more comfortable, purer, and shorter with a marginally longer wheelbase than previous models. This is one of the cars you don't knock because it's new.
Sadly, I haven't been able to drive it for the past 6-7 months due to it being to expensive to register just so i that can occasionally get a few hours on my L's. Mainly i just drive my mum's 2007 Hyundai Elantra which is nice but very bland, boring and feels very cheap. The trim and all the plastic crap inside the car rattles so much and to top it off, its an Auto (yuck). I currently have around 65 hours and only around 1 month and a bit to go (January 4th) until i can get my P's. I can't wait to finally go for my first drive by myself with the windows down, fresh 92.7 on the radio playing loudish (not as loud as a typical young idiot) and maybe even go for a nice cruise through chain of ponds and up to Birdwood. That will be when my life truly begins. Sorry for the spiel but I can't wait until i get my P's.
