My cousin just brought the car I bought home... One 1975 Chrysler Newport. Blue in color, haven't tried to turn it over yet, will start monkeying with it tomorrow to find out what all the issues are. It's got the 400 BBM in it. But we'll swap it out with a 1967 383 that's got a plum crazy cam! Here's pics from when it sat at the seller's house... Got more on my phone but haven't uploaded them yet.

This car will have lived more in 10-15 minutes than it ever would have again in it's life... And when it's done, it will have been through it's final test. She'll be wrecked :D

You're not really going to wreck that gorgeous machine, are you?

I will be getting a new ride in 10 days. I'm aiming to get a 90s Honda of some sort. It will probably be a del Sol, Prelude, or Accord coupe. A Prelude is my first choice. I want to paint it a deep blue color, bolt on wide blacked out rims, and slam it.

Oh, Jesus, please tell me you are kidding.
To that guy that bought the old car:
Are you demo derbying that chrysler? It looks like a fine piece of machinery.

Anyway, since I am to young, nor have the resources to own a car, I don't really have much to offer. But, we recently got a new lawn tractor(05 Cub cadet 2000),and the old one(early to mid 90s ford something) is not really being used for anything right now, I will probably do something with it. Although it is currently immobile due to fuel pump problems I'll probably replace that then just kinda use it to do stupid stuff with and, ultimately, end up wrecking it and hurting myself.(sarcasm>) But, ya know: YOLO. (<sarcasm) Anyway I'll post some pictures of it someday.

Absolutely. It will go out in the most glorious fashion. In front of thousands of people cheering in a mud arena, while wrecking other cars. We'll have to build it though... Will take time and money, but I'm more excited for this then any other hobby. Even BeamNG isn't as exciting as this, and I have to admit, I'm more excited for BeamNG then any other video game I've ever played. The derbying will be so realistic which will be a lot of fun

Nooppee. I love the look of a low car. Its going to be on airbags if that makes you feel any better.

I love slammed cars if it's done right. I'm NOT a fan of the ghetto impalas being slammed and rolling on like 30 inch chrome spinners though. That just looks too drug-dealeresque. :)

I know. But think about it. Should we send it to the crusher before I get to play with it and it puts a bunch of people on it's feet? Or should I make it a Mopar screaming beauty and send it to the crusher when it's finally ready to go?

Anyway, was bored today, so I got the mouse piss and shit stained carpet and seats out of it. Oh my god, that stench is stuck in my god damn nostrils. And... The carpet was wet with piss. Can you say yummy?

I'm not a fan of demolition derbies because so much people have thrown so much effort to make this car and you will destroy it on that way only for fun.I can't understand you how do you think that this will be fun(destroying a car)?Every car has it's soul and story no matter how old and rusty is...You can make a restoration if a car is old it doesn't mean that it's ready to go on the junkyard.Beamng is great because it allows you to crash cars and have fun without killing actual cars.Every old car has it's own charm. But that car is yours you can make everything with it I just say my opinion about demolition derby and crushing for fun...

Okay. let me make this simple for you. 10 mpg. w/ only 175 hp from the factory... Yeah, no one is going to drive this anymore.

Restoration? This was a mass production family car in the mid 70's. Nobody is going to restore one of these. You either have a nice one, or you find ones like these that have had the interior ruined.

Idk how it is for you people. Maybe none of you have ever bought a car like this? OR seen one that is sitting in the weeds rusting to pieces? But honestly, I totally understand a sentimental value of a vehicle... Cars like this that have been through 3 or 4 different owners, they aren't in top condition anymore, they are by no means a rare vehicle. The interior is gone to shit, and the owner says if we don't pay the $600 for it he'll wait until scrap goes up and scrap it himself. If nothing else, i saved this car from not being able to live those last glorious moments. Plus... There's no bigger adrenaline rush then a demolition derby.

Also, restoring this thing to make a fun toy out of ~$10,000. Getting set up for derbying? ~$1-2,000.

I understand that this is not the most practical and cheap car in the world:)But in any other country except America maybe this is a rare and exotic car and it is on extinction. If nobody take cautions these cars will disappear from the streets. As I said the old cars have their own charm. This is mine oppinion and I don't want to argue with nobody:)

I see sedans more rare than this go into banger racing that were "American-made." over in Germany or the UK. 60's Imperials, suicide door lincolns, shit like that. Way more rare than this car. Don't get me wrong, they were nice cars at the time, but, no. In no place is this car exotic. That would be like saying the Ford Granada is exotic to Americans. hell no

This year I'm hoping to get 2 derby cars ready. I'm already buying a 1994 Ford Tempo, and hopefully we can get a group of guys who will participate in a herby derby (theres one other guy with a car for next year that I know of)

I was going to get an awesome Mercury Grand Marquis that I was sooo excited about, but when I went to the seller with money in hand, he said he "lost the title" and refused to go to the DMV for a new one. Still looking for another car for the main derby. May post pictures of the progress I make with these cars.
