Hmm, I may have a problem.
I have to hand in a cad assembly in 13,5 hours, I have to sleep, get to the university and have a meeting 15 minutes before the deadline. And in need to finish the model. And did I mention I have a training somewhere in between too? (I saw that like 10 minutes ago and RIP me)

That's pretty much a Sandy Bridge I7, you could probably put a 1070 in it and still be fine presuming the rest of the system can handle it.

Really? I thought even the 1060 6gb would be too much of a bottleneck with that CPU

Although even if the GPU's power was capped by the CPU it would still burn my current Quadro 2000 :D

Yea, Intel has pretty much sat on their ass since Sandy Bridge. Really there's about a 30% improvement between Sandy and Skylake. Considering the time frame between them, that's pitiful.

    Hi guys,
You may have noticed I have been away for a while. This is because the external hard drive I have died and I have been trying to get it fixed, but to no avail. That means ALL my games are gone, as well as my WIP stuff. So, this means that I will have to start everything over. On the side, I have been collecting cell phones and traveling to California and stuff. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm both really mad that my stuff is gone, I am sad that all that trouble I went to was for nothing, but I am still a bit happy because I am doing something else that I enjoy.
Anyway, I will have to get another drive and reinstall my games.
    Have a nice day

Do yourself a favour and back up things that are important to you in the future. If you have less than a few gigs of important stuff there are many free solutions available to you if you don't mind the security concerns of DropBox, Google, OneDrive etc. Alternatively you could create some local redundancy using bitTorrent Sync, have a folder synced between your PC and pretty much any android device, if one dies its no big deal and as you may or may not be aware you can get a second hand android device pretty cheap. Or just go stone age and copy your stuff onto a usb stick occasionally.
Alternatively you can full hardcore and build a NAS, but they are a fair chunk of effort and if you sleep in your computer space potentially sleep disturbingly loud.

Today's episode of the grand tour is easily the best one so far in my opinion. Good to see things being improved upon through the series. Hopefully there is more of this to come.

Sometimes, I question people's ability to be safe around grade crossings, even railroads themselves in particular...

    I think you're right.
Internet Explorer works fine with it, Google Chrome had some issues.

Band nerds be jealous! I got a new piccolo yesterday!!! It is a Pearl PFP-105E. It is AMAZING! Just in time for my Christmas concert with a local concert band! I am ecstatic, if you couldn't tell. :D

Several Christmas songs. Carol of the Bells, Sleigh Ride, and Christmas, Here We Come, to name a few.

Another day another pair of speakers for restoration, recap, refinish and probably resell. They actually sound pretty good, I might keep them.

Wow you are well learned if you just name dropped king krimson. Robert frip is easily one of the most innovative guitarists to ever pick up the instrument. that band is half the reason I play. one more red nightmare is the soundtrack to my youth.

I grew up listening to Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd... every progressive rock band from the 70s really. I always liked the depth of the genre, you can just lay back and get lost in the music...

In The Court of The Crimson King is just a wonderfull album all around....

Very few people can really take in progressive rock. it's almost like density of the music is too great and people too lazy to try and figure it out. frank zappa is a wonderful example of that. prog rock is music for musicians there is no doubt. I wouldn't be playing today if it weren't for the likes of KK and yes and zappa.
