Step 1: Install windows 10 with your preferred installation method
Step 2: Find and install drivers
    Step 3: install Beamng
Step 4: enjoy the sub 15fps.

Sub 20/15? Oh please, with an old macbook like that those fps numbers will look like a dream. Expect 5-10 fps. Under 25 fps the game slows down (not just fps, the actual physics) meaning that you drive in a perpetual state of slow motion. Your macbook will also overheat. Play a different game or get a gaming pc.

I remember when you showed me a video of you running Car jump arena with the car at the top of the ramp and it ran like 30fps with 1 car and Lowest settings with your surface. A macbook from 2011 will not run as good as that surface especially with it having to also run the drivers and whatever else to allow it to actually run the game.

probably 20 fps, i had a lenovo h420 with g620 and hd graphics and it ran ok in gridmap with lowest settings, but that was a few updates ago, not sure about right now, if you want higher frames and you dont need another car, just enable "disable collision"

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 500S. Intel 6500U up to and usually at 3-3.1Ghz, 4Gb DDR3 Ram at 1600mhz and Intel (R) HD Graphics 520 which has similar performance to an NVIDIA 820M and a 128Gb SSD.

    Fixed it for you.
    It's the OS the problem.
You need Windows. Any other OS is not supported.
The hardware mainly decides if you will be running a slideshow or not.
(As far the hardware is not from 20 years ago)

Have you read my comment or did you deliberately ignore it because you couldn't accept that you are not able to play BeamNG?

Lol I can totally relate to step 4. My brick of a Compaq laptop that's like 8 yrs old runs the techdemo at about 2 fps. I can't even run the actual game.

It'll run like crap, thats what everyone is saying. Plus being a macbook it has no ventilation so there is a very real chance it will die outright if you play for extended periods of time.

Alright... Let me tell you how it actually will run as my computer is as follows.

Mid 2010 MacBook Pro (bought before I entered college... I am graduated now... so yea... pretty old)
Dual Booting Windows 10 64-Bit and MacOS
    Intel Cor2Duo P8600 2.4GHz (no hyperthreading)
    Upgraded to 16Gbs of RAM
Upgraded to 1TB Sata3 SSD (I know it only can use up to Sata2 but I got it cheap so I wasn't complaining)
NVidia GForce 320M (Worst part of this laptop by far)

With this setup I MUST run the directx 9 version as it is incompatible with the directx 11 version... weirdly enough it will load everything and then crash rather than just telling me it is incompatible... anyways...

Running Banana bench you can see that in theory you should be able to run 1 vehicle in real time... just. (I also have no idea why it says Windows 8 because it is 10)
    speed.png

But honestly, the processor is not the bottleneck here... it's the graphics card.

Here we are on grid map with the Pigeon. not to great (add 3 to 5 fps for all shots as the snipping tool drops fps by that much for some reason)

    speed1.png

    But it gets worse...

    speed2.png

The more pollys, the slower it goes...

    speed3.png

And to really drive my point home...

    speed5.png

However, with a more powerful computer like yours, you might fare a little better.

Also, incase anyone is curious, when I pause my physics, it make almost no difference in FPS. Just thought I would add that.

I can run 60fps at hirochi on medium/high setting if i minimize my screen to that size. That is using less than half the screen on the photo you took, try running it in full screen, you will probably get no more than 10-15fps.

Also you seem to be using a screen cap software that probably is dragging your computer down a little, try hitting command (apple key), shift, F3 (or 3, I can't remember, I am in windows right now) at the same time to take a screenshot and save it to your desktop. Its instant and won't slow you down any since you are still in MacOS.

And as for my temps, I have a fan controler that caps it at 80*C as I don't like to let it go any higher than that.

Seriously. I have a laptop with a core i7 and some AMD Radeon HD 5800 something graphics, way the fuck more powerful than that macbook with its integrated graphics.

However guess what, the game is unplayable outside of flat plain grid map with anything other than a pigeon at lowest settings 800x600 where I get around 25fps.

Its not worth it at all, you can't run the game and its as simple as that. Also before you ask I was running the latest version of the game in all my tests directly from steam on windows 7.
