Do you ever take a break Also do you make the models yourself or do you get them from somewhere? If you get them from somewhere then from where?
it simply wouldnt be possible to do models in such a short time. I convert them for games or take them from 3d Modelling sites. This one here is from Gta but before i put it in game or sth like that i work really hard on the models to accomplish the game standarts.
The S-Series looks so sweet. Not only a well-accomplished mod in progress, but also a very handsome car.
Good luck! hope it gets released, as beamng really needs one. *another minivan. :\ i made one too. meh.
Well, yeah. However its true, with the exception of direct_ua and Schumacer all the stuff above my post on the last page is just half assed, badly ripped junk. I mean at the bare minimum I would expect materials but even that is too hard it seems :|
As much as I understand your opinion, this is an area for people to show off work that they are proud of (in the context of BeamNG). Even grabbing a model from Forza and sticking it on a default jbeam requires some learning even if it isn't as much as scratch building a full car. If people are proud of that work and the learning that they did then I see no harm providing they are not individually spamming the thread. However, what I said does seem to be slightly at tension with the thread rules that state things posted here should be "scratch made". Not every mod is going to be Miura's Heron. Equally if a separate thread was created for only high production value mods moderation would be a pain in the arse since who decides what is and isn't quality? Maybe the groups system could be used where people can request to have their mod's progress added as a thread to the group. Maybe bring back blogs from the RoR days would be a neat idea so that people can subscribe to the creators that they like for updates, similar to the devblog. Then have a blogs page where the most subscribed and viewed blogs get put to the top. However that would likely spread the community thinner.
another golf OT: proud of my jbeam (even though im sure everybody thinks its crap) Crashes: 40 mph: 60 mph: 100 mph: i see spiking around the suspension and quite a bit on the rear EDIT: oh yeah, and the taillights are modeled (and textured) by me
It's not a problem when a new member or someone who has never done anything like this before comes along and does something really rough, that is fair enough and its a step in learning. However, everyone I was talking about on the last page has done this same crap time and time again, no materials, terrible rips with wheels don't even line up with the body and even straight up one sided empty body shells sitting on a jbeam. There becomes a point where its no longer learning and is just churning out crap for likes. On top of that people really need to do some work before they are slapping stuff into dev screens, there is no excuse for having no materials on an entire car, it just makes it clear that they took literally 10 minutes to export and rename some stuff, because thats all there is to it. I don't think there is any problem with the development screens thread itself or that there is any problem with people posting "non quality" mods, but anything more than "bottom of the barrel" standards would be nice, a car that is literally a floating bonnet and bootlid isnt one of those. It should be pretty much common sense but I suppose that too much to ask also.
