Oh I hate those website making websites. Couldn't even make a cool header for someone, and there is no HTML/phone/CSS code editor in that website *TRIGGERED*
Is it worth taking an old Sky+ HD box off someone in hope of getting the HDD? Even if I can't use it, it will be fun to take it apart anyway.
Yes it is, we had Sky installed at my dads rental house for like 4 weeks before it was cancelled, so we got a more or less brand new sky+ HD box. Turns out it had a full desktop Seagate 500GB video drive in it, just standard sata too, it even had a normal PC sata cable inside which I was able to use elsewhere too. Its also great for getting tons of spare electronic parts if you're into that, its just full of buttons and ports.
Did it require any special tools to take apart? For example uncommon screws, because I'm kinda short on screwdrivers right now
Um, as far as I remember the outer black plastic was just a case of large 4 philips head screws and a lot of prying plastic clips, pretty hard to do without breaking stuff. The rest was more or less straight forward, just a bunch of standard philips head screws holding in all the parts
Happy 19th birthday to myself. I shall spend it sick and alone yet again. Not even my SO has wished me a happy birthday yet today. Living is fun.
Pls I'm scraping the wall get on my level --- Post updated --- Who's this SO you speak of? IS THERE SOMETHING YOU AREN'T TELLING ME? ;-;
