Update Speculation thread

The powertrain header on the wiki been there for awhile already, since the 6th.

 

I'm more focused to try out the new coding for the engine/tranny ..curious if it will feature actual overdrive /lockup....but yea i seeing image with the Legran & Camper... it will be here in just days from now
i can only hope for West Coast Us map. it seems to get more attention then Italy atm.. but what do i know

 

Torque converter lockup is there but O/D no, I was talking with @Diamondback awhile back and he said that the base code doesn't have it.. but the powertrain code is completely modular and if someone wants to write their code own they can.

 

I doubt we'll get the hopaper, but I know when the update is going to be!

Lol just stop modding. Thats what you get.
But sadly hopper isnt happening in this update, its an easy question to answer since when he first showed the thread there was still a lot left to do. Model the engine, enterior, and a lot of other things which werent finished.
I dont expect the hopper in the nect update. And neither should you.
But at the same time, mirracles can happen lol

nope, no update.. just merged them together and added bolide, roamer and old pessima to the pack

The devs said that it would be this week before the weekend. I can't remember exactly where they said this but they said it

 

I checked, it looks like the recent updates came out at like 8-11pm US eastern time, atleast thats when the earliest comments were on the devblog posts, So it still can come out today.

 

Well the clock is around 19:00-21:00 on Europe right now and if the devs work till 21:00 or a bit later, we might get it today.

 

It's 18:00 right now here in Germany.

 

Well it is almost 2:00 in Japan.

 

And a tip for people who want to know the second the update comes out, subscribe to the beamng channel on youtube and turn on push notifications so when they upload a video for the legran, or hopper release (if it is in the update) you will know since they release the updates at the same time

 

Or just y'know have steam open and know when it auto updates...

 

You don't have steam open 24/7. This way you'll get an notification on your phone when the update is launched.
And I actually don't use steam often if i plan to only play beamng, unless I have friends online. I just click on an shortcut to the beamngdrive.exe that i have on my desktop.

I think it's the devs that are suffering atm. Having the code bug the heck out when you are trying to fix it is not fun.

 

Nah. Last night's shitstorm probably delayed the update at least a day
