Small window with pink around it

hi all,
I have been playing BeamNG recently until I clicked to go to fullscreen.ive tried everything reinstalling the game clearing cache safe mode etc. and im all out of ideas anyone else having this problem?

 

go to settings and put the resolution all the way up

 

done that, anyway in full screen it goes up to 1080p anyway. if I change it than change it back it goes to something like 705X692 and if I turn my screen rews up from 768 to 1080 p it still does the same

 

Try going into a windowed mode, changing your resolution, then putting it fullscreen.

 

done, still not working and if I go to max res in fullscreen it goes to windowed mode

 

Could be your GT 730 being a bit weird, Are your drivers up to date? Because that's the only idea I got

 

This is happening to me as well. I'm on a 768 monitor, with an R9 390X. I cleared the cache and I'm gonna try it again in a second, if it doesn't do anything I'll come back here, pretty bummed out I can't play though lol

Found a fix, clear the cache, then delete your settings folder in My documents/Beamng.drive (Moderator said to do it on another forum for a different problem so don't worry about it messing your game up), then launch in safe mode. That fixed it for me, I guess we're gonna have to wait for the Devs to fix some bugs and stuff before we get stable again.

 

I havent checked if it still happens on the latest update but it used to happen all the time in .7.0.2. It always fixes itself when i press alt enter twice which minimizes fullscreen and then brings it back up with the pink stuff gone.

tried that it makes the ding sound like when you click an invalid key and in the options clicking fullscreen makes the box flash ticked then unticked

 

yes it is stuck in windowed mode.. it does go to filling the screen in windowed mode but I would like to have full screen as I sit about 1 foot (30cm) away from my monitor and it is only 24 inch so always 1080p is too small and the game gives 1366X768 as really pixelated for the resolution. it looks more like 800X600 so it is stuck in windowed mode is the bottom line,. going to full screen is still in windowed mode with the pink screen issue. this is the only game it happens to and I play games such as ets2, project cars and gta 5 in full screen at 768/1080p no problem I love beamng and have played it since early January 2014 so really don't want to have to give it up. It looks great in full screen but so pixelated in windowed mode.

it worked the first time but not after that

 

resizing the window doesn't fix it and I only have the overlay on msi afterburner but it is never open

 

Closing it is an improvement I can get it to resemble full screen after some playing around every time I load the game

 

If you have Razor Cortex or Game Booster disable them, and maybe your antivirus?
