So, I got my RX 470. Installed it and by the time I noticed, the 8 pin PCI-e had struck. My PSU only has a 6 pin connector with a little 2 pin extension by the side. PSU model is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4S82C74663. My second question is what good cheap power supply can I get to replace this one if it does need to be replaced with an 8 pin PCI-e. I kinda don't wanna use a Molex adapter which i'm not risking to burn down my home. Oh and please answer both questions and not just what power supplies I can get.

Just in the case your psu connector look like this:

Standard pcie is 6 pins, (big part of the connector) but some more powerful graphics card requier a bigger conector with more power delivery, so the small part adds other 2 pins.

With your graphics card you need to join the 6 pin and the 2 pin together and plug them into the graphics card
When you're done with that it must look like this:

You don´t need to replace or buy something, just put together the connectors as i have said
    Post your answers ;)

Yea yea, it looks just like that one on the top. Mine has a little shroud that blocks me from plugging in both at the same time. Like should I cut it or will I break the wire? I'm not really fond of burning down my house.

Nope, you don't need to cut or break something ;)

Just move the 2pin to the front, align it with the 6pin and move the 2pin to the rear

The part you're speaking about is used to prevent 2pin disconecting from the 6pin and the graphics card

Its kinda hard to do it, i'll take a picture on how I should so it cause I tried that but it would refuse to even fit with it.

You can see the big shroud that is blocking it. Should I cut it?

No, thats the clip that retains the conector to the graphics card

You have to join the 2pin with the 6pin on their nearest side and plug them to the graphics card

No, that is a clip that keeps the connector plugged.

That is a RAM memory problem, not related to the graphics card. You shoul run a memory test.
