You'll be driving along and have a mild crash and now you have to spend the entire race bouncing back and forth with the controller steering even though your car is mostly fine. If there was a trim to make the damaged steering be straight and true it would be very welcome.
I love game forums for these little snide comments, thanks. Sorry I don't have a wheel can you buy me one?
Key word: damaged. If you smash a car into something or even bump it into a gutter at a bad angle you can easily bend or break a tie rod and dislodge the steering rack. If your car was damaged in real life and pulled to the left or the right after an accident, would you unbolt your steering wheel and remount it slightly off centre so it appeared like it was fine? Let's hope not.
No, but you can adjust your tie rods, or your mental ability to take note of driving straight and adjust your hands on the wheel considering the damage. The trim just simulates your physical connection with the wheel, it's nothing mechanical it's just adjusting your hand wheel steering interface. The joystick merely controls your hands, letting go of the stick does not mean your are letting go of the wheel, it means your hands are at 10 and 2. If you want to physically keep your hands at 12 and 4, that is what the trim is for, so when "letting go" of the joystick, it really means your hands stay at 12 and 4, if you trimmed your hands there. Don't know if you guys will get that but I gave it my best shot.
sorry pal. I dont even have a job. Yes i know that with keyboard having a fucked up steering automatically means that 99% you need to reset the scenario or the car, but i think that having a steering trim option would be kinda pointless, since like i said, you can just restart the car or scenario and get better at it.
I don't understand some people. This is a section where one can share is idea or suggestion, and OP didn't went like 'I WANT DIZ NOW DO ET'. Being a knob to others is completely unnecessary.
I agree with you, I hardly understand the post I mean trimming the steering but how can that be done, you can do that in reality I know that much...if it gets broken in real life you cant trim it to fix it...you need a machine shop
Please refer to my last post. It has nothing to do with mechanically changing anything. It just trims the position of your hands on the wheel. Maybe I should have specified better in my first post.
