I had bought a PS4 Controller to replace my broken PS3 controller that I had setup through SCP manager. I fortunately do not have to use SCP with the PS4 Controller for it just works automatically with Windows 10 and Steam. Unfortunately it does not work with BeamNG.drive. Do I have to do a similar setup like with my PS3 controller (SCP) or am I missing something? If it is the former will there be support for Dual Shock 4 Controllers in the future? The Dual Shock 4 Controller is my preferred controller.

    Edit:
I installed DS4Windows and now it fully works. However in retrospect I think BeamNG.drive should support the Dual Shock 4 Natively.

The ps4 controller should work with beamng without any other programs needed. Just plug it in and play. I know it works because i have used mine for beamng.

do not use DS4Windows, it again uses MotionInJoy which is malicious. SCP does support the DS4.

Thank you for the information, I will try to setup SCP again then.
If that is the case then I am not sure what is wrong with my setup. :/ Do you have any ideas? It's hard googling something like this because it does not want to work specifically with this game but works with others via plug n play. Also does it work via Bluetooth?

Am I missing something? Mine is not working at all. Oddly enough the UI will state that a "Wireless Controller" is connected but I can't use it.

i use scp toolkit for our ps3 and 4 controllers and it works wery well. as soon as windows is fully booted i can just turn on all 4 controller and they all connect trought Bluetooth. pairing them is also just plugging in the usb and pull it out again. just make sure you install the correct drivers in the scp driver installer. You just have to select wireless controller under dualshock 4 and then install driver if you are just gonna use cable

My Dualshock 4 worked with Beam without any other programs needed. For other games I use InputMapper. I can also control the light in the back with this. Only problem is that InputMapper uses about 10% of my CPU when in use.
