Welp, 2017 is off to a roaring start. I'm watching Boohbah at 2x speed -- wtf is this? They look like enemies from EarthBound.

Why not use the iron stand that most soldering irons come with?

Because most of them are only intended for preventing the iron for putting a hole in the desk when you need to put it down. Which is not all that useful.

I mean that you can hold it up in the air, so if you were soldering something like a small PCB you don't have to let it sit on the table. You can position it easier.

Again I find it easier to use a 3rd hand to hold the pcb stationary and then manipulate the iron

Just got back to my flat after spending Christmas and new year with family.

Maybe I overdid the new lighting a little bit...

Just picked up a spare engine for Rhonda, after doing an autopsy I can confirm it has new points, rings and reed valves, the cylinder wall is perfect not a mark on it and in better condition than my original engine's barrel and it looks like it's had a slight port too. Not bad for £40.

Updating mods seems to be a tedious process today.

I have a one cylinder leaf blower engine in my garage right now. While we've done nothing with it, my dad doesn't want to throw it away just yet.

I'm sure there's a difference between a partially disassembled leaf blower engine and a Porsche flat-6.

I'm sure you can guess which one is more powerful.

The Porsche Flat-6 is obviously more powerful than a leafblower engine, unless if it's a VTEC-powered leafblower.
