Will all vehicles eventually have the uv files? Or is there a way to get them?

Some vehicles have uv files. Just search in the game directory. The rest of the car will get their uv files at some point.

I really hope so. I have some ideas of skins I'd do for vehicles like the T-Series and the LeGran.

I hope it will someday. I'd like to do some taxi skins for it, like I am with the I-Series right now.

I've been planning on doing some skins for the T-Series too. These are some ideas I've had in mind.

This is utterly out of my knowledge realm but would it be possible to create UV files for these vehicles in Blender?, or would it need to be
done in the program of the author ( 3DSmax in Gabesters case)?

This thread has clued me into why certain vehicles never see skin mods.

I know quite a few of the devs use Blender but I recall Gabe using 3DSMax for vehicle construction at one point, however
that memory is a couple years old. I wonder if either program could be used to generate UV maps for BeamNG vehicles
in this case. Could a community member with the skill do this or would it be up to Gabe to create them?
My point being is this a 'moddable' possibility for official vehicles.

Custom skins for the T75 variants (cement mixer and dump trucks especially), need to happen:cool:.

I recall hearing from an user that only the older pessima was made in blender and the rest of the vehicles was made in 3DSMax. But that's an interesting question that I also want to know. But i doubt it as shouldn't modders have done that already if that would be the case?

The 200 bx was made in blender.
And yes, its possible to create a second UV for skins in blender

Well as D-Troxx says I guess it is possible and leads to a well founded assumption.....

....even though it is technically feasible to do second UV's no one attempts it due to the
tedious and complex nature of the process. Thanks for the replies guys and not trying to
    turn this into a 'UV's 101 thread'. Just curious:D.

I think the biggest reason to not do it is that you have to edit all the models in the .dea and overwrite the original ones.

But when a uv map does come out the work will be rendered useless. And the skin you made might have to be edited.

So essentially the amount of work required to do UV's could quickly be rendered useless with any given update, the same
issue any modder could face at this stage of the game. I can fully understand that.

My knowledge of doing UV's is limited but enough to know it is a very tedious process and I sure as hell wouldn't want that
time and effort to be wasted with the click of a mouse. Best to wait for the devs to put in place an official scheme that they can
support and would be carried forward.
