Oh, if only you knew the horror that is my Bay Trail Pentium based HP Pavilion. Half Life 2? More like Half Life 20 frames per second. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? More like Overly Extensive. The Bay Trail graphics core is a cut-down, underclocked HD 4000, effectively making it an HD 3000 or worse.
Jeez, stop writing these paragraphs. I also have no idea why you told me about your phone cellular plan and tablet. In hindsight I do recognize I came off as rude but my point still stands.
Also i dont really care about the build quality of a laptop, as long as it has I/O and decent specs then im happy. Well made cheap systems usually have bad hardware, such as my ADVENT 5301 that has a dread yeah, by pentium do you mean as in a dual core no hyper threading machine. PS. Today I've got my ancient MacBook Air running now, it had no charger for about 3 years but now it does. and surprise surprise the last application used was Minecraft by my sister, and of course it crashed off the server since minecraft is outdated
It's a quad-core CPU exclusive to mobile. The Celeron below it is dual-core. I can only imagine how awful the Celeron is, because the Pentium lacks everywhere. A mobile Core i3 mops the floor with it. It's literally an extremely overclocked Atom quad-core. The part is Bay-Trail based, so it's supposed to be efficient. Except, it really isn't. The laptop has to run flat out to be useful under Windows 10 (it wasn't much better in Windows 8.1), so it'll get between 3-4 hours on a charge. That would be fine, but my 17" MacBook Pro with a 1200p screen, backlit keyboard, Core 2 Duo, and dual graphics can manage 4 hours on a charge as well. The Pentium is hopeless doing anything other than word processing or 720p video.
really? my bay trail atom tablet runs 720p60 videos with ease on youtube (i think H264 not VP9) and its a 1.3 ghz. It handles 1080p good and plays movies easily, the CPU uses about 2-3w when playing movies at 1080p on a 1080p display. And it doesnt run flat out all the time, only when opening applications and etc. The atom gpu is horrible though
