wish list of what we want for the truck green (can be done easily or is coming soon) Orange (can be done but might take a while) red (long way off) (IMPORTANT: F2YS has a list of his own To Do List and is most likely longer than this. this just for us to look at) more shells more paint jobs more chassis (cohen in development) more tracks stuff done in since originally posted: New, more detailed, props animate props more tire options more wheel options breakable bodies (hood is in next update) distribution on mod repository better suspension breakage
How's that for a title? Now it's open to anything I'll start. I wish we had a "Predator" monster truck that was semi-invisible. The whole thing textured like a clear windshield. edit: Edited again so its open it to more subtle ideas
Ah, yes. It wasn't me, though, but Fen. It was too narrow for the CRD chassis, he showed some pics of the body mesh clipping through the spaceframe. As for me, I must have one somewhere.
About this list: - More detailed props are fairly unlikely. Not on CRD. Cohen is getting brand new ones, though. - Mod can't be distributed on the repository due to copyright issues. - Suspension breakage can't be (visually) improved any further. The existing props aren't designed with breakage in mind.
Do you think that in the future we will be able to have the whole entire body fall off like what it actually does in Monster Jam? Just asking
I don't think we'd go these lengths. The shells we have were never designed (modelled) with breakage in mind. To make more panels detachable, we'd need to separate all parts in Blender, and then have support structures for each part, more breakGroups and more collision triangles... It took us over one month to implement breakable front clips, and those are all using a common modular structure. Just multiply that for each possible part on every possible body... Then think of the impact this all will have on performance... I don't think it's going to happen. Maybe the Cohen based trucks (we only have two bodies on it so far).
Maybe different headers? I believe Morgan Kane's MaxD (at the time) had different headers? Or maybe a different engine? I can't remember exactly. Backup alarms. I believe I remember hearing something like that when I went to live Monster Jam shows, especially when I was in the pit area (I used to be a part of an RC truck club, and we were able to run our trucks on the track during intermission before the officials alleviated our privileges behind our backs) Horns (I know, unlikely, but as a former MTM2 player, I remember using the horn a lot. I believe you had to press the Space Key) For El Toro Loco specifically, maybe a hotkey to toggle the smoke that comes out of the front?
This is my reference: Most "early" versions on CRD had straight headers. To get different headers, we have to swap the whole engine mesh. A planned feature, currently on the back burner. The upcoming Cohen-based truck has Zoomies. This is cool. Now I want it.
Well, it's a rather simple feature to add with LUA. I don't have the faintest idea of the sound a monster truck horn makes, though...
The only truck that has a horn is an independent truck called Krazy Train that uses a train horn, which I don't believe runs on a CRD or Cohen. I might be wrong about that, tho.
