I decided to start playing BeamNG again after a while of not playing it. Anyways I have a couple of questions.

First, how do I set it so I can steer my car with the mouse? I looked and those settings seem to be gone.

Also, is there no longer a gear shifter animation? Now the shifter just switches positions with no animation.

 

To answer your second question, it has never been animated.

To answer your first question, IDK. Even though I've been playing for 3 years, I have never thought about that.

I haven't heard of animated shifters in beamng but you can steer with your mouse in beamng. You just have to map the mouse axis to the "steering" control in the controls menu.

 

no animated manual shifter (except on the CRX Del Sol) but the automatic cars do, and i think the moonhawk is missing the animation (bug)

 

Well, that's the only "animated" shifter.

 

Nah, all the automatic shifers aren't animated for me. I mean the go into different gears but there is no animation of them moving. Must be some sort of setting.
