Funny you mention that actually. Me and my dad had pondered the idea of putting a RX-8 engine in the back with the help of Essex Rotary. It would fit, but there wasnt a gearbox that would fit, since a rotary needs a counter-weighted flywheel (or else it will shake itself apart) which is pretty big.

It could be done, but only if you wanted to shell out for a bespoke gearbox and fly
