Do you need the fixed file now so that you won't have to do it yourself later? It's okay if you don't, but all I am trying to do is to help you out in some way.
Alright, here is the file. Download the JBeam attached with this post and replace the old one with the downloaded one into the mod. Again, good luck on making the mod working for the latest version of the game!
No problem. If there is anything you might need help for with this mod, I'll try to do so. I am planning on fixing the rear suspension, so it might take me a while to get everything working.
Moving the rear suspension is very similar to how I did with the license plates, but it requires some extensive changes to the rear axle's JBeams, because the rear end of the vehicle nearly touches the ground, and I assume you don't want that. I can't show you the screenshot of that issue right now (unless you are aware of it), but I'll let you know about that progress whenever I can do so.
As it turns out, the problem I mentioned in my last post (rear portion of vehicle touches the ground) only affects a particular configuration, and that happens to be the stock 4WD version. Every other configurations work fine. I really don't know why it occurs in that one configuration, and I should have been more specific earlier, so I apologize for that. However, I was able to fix it by launching the stock 2WD configuration, add the front differential, change the color to red as it was originally, and overwrite the old 4x4 configuration. (It doesn't affect the stock 2WD configuration, by the way.) Afterwards, I restarted the game, chose the stock 4WD configuration, and now it is working fine. You should be able to do the very same thing as that fix likely integrated with the mod itself. (Or do you want me to attach the mod with the fix to one of my next posts? It's your choice.) As for the rear axle, it is slightly off-centered, which might require rewriting the rear suspension's JBeams from scratch. It is going to require a lot more time to fix it, and there is a chance that I can't help you with it. You might want to ask someone else to fix that issue instead. (Sorry about that.) Aside from that, I guess my work here is done (for now). I'll still try to help around as much as possible, however.
i just wanted to say great mod i had the first on before u fixed it and it never worked im glad u are doing what u are please keep working hard
For downloading manually: There should be a folder in your documents for BeamNG. Inside that, there should then be a mods folder. Take the .zip file (leave it zipped), and place it inside that mods folder There are a few other guides floating around on here that go more in depth
Why is there no need? You keep saying the same thing. I don't want my Toyota to look like an offbrand Toyota.
It doesn't need to be there. I don't need to spend time adding it back when its not important. Plus I plan on making it an official mod one day.
