any further updates on other things? i've been getting many questions about a front engined max d and more maps.
A front engined MaxD isn't happening any time soon. The Willman chassis is completely different from the current CRD/Cohen setup. A lot of the hard beamwork could be reutilized for both the upcoming Cohen and many PEI layouts (namely, drivetrain and suspension sub-systems). Willman-based vehicles, on the other hand, would have to be redesigned anew from the ground up. While I'd like to do it in the future, it's not something I have planned yet.
suggestion for public release: make it like this group, with an easy to get to maps and screenshots sections to make it easier to find everything. also would love to see lost maps make a return (houston oakland, etc). one big social group that's really easy to manage.
Thread unlocked, update RC4 available: - Further adjustments to damage and fire simulation. - Exhaust simulation. - Engine thermals simulation. - Simulated Transmission Brake (can be toggled with "T"). - Redesigned sound table + new engine sound clips in .OGG format (fixes volume fading issues). - New "Center Channel" for RII (both lights on). - New Ford Raptor Trophy Truck body available. - Two new paint schemes for the Ford Raptor Trophy Truck body: Odyssey Bigfoot, Firestone Bigfoot. - Gas Monkey Garage is available as a separate download. - A new paint scheme for the F150 body, Gabe The Dog (body texture courtesy of @Fen) is available as a separate download.
One thing we could do, is to keep using this group, but to make it public, and manage the release like we've been doing so far. I honestly don't fancy the idea of a new public thread for this mod... --- Post updated --- Main thread unlocked.
how exactly would i use the transmission brake? --- Post updated --- i just noticed that it actually doesn't play at all for me now on the truck. it's actually very odd not hearing it when something breaks. --- Post updated --- testing new thermals and body styles (2nd one is scheduled for upload in 30 mins. not sure if viewable here yet):
More credits: The Raptor body was provided by @VolticDragon. @acapaldi reintroduced the missing headlight decals to both textures and designed the thumbnails for presets. @Matchbox201 modelled the new rear body support. I did the rest (secondary textures, specular maps, flipped fiberglass mesh, beamwork). EDIT - Picture of the new rear support for the Raptor body.
Not yet, just like Gas Monkey Garage, it works ok with the existing chassis, but requires some adaptations. I'll probably upload it as a separate vehicle when it's ready.
Ok, didn't know it was custom. I guess I should've guessed that it was custom, would be kinda hard to see with a seat in front of your face.
on both bigfoot raptor skins, could you make the chassis a light grey/ metallic light grey color and make the driveshaft holder (the real name is slipping my mind) orange? i'm asking because Bigfoot 19 is their only CRD and could you try getting this skin as well?
Oh, by the way... I've been watching some videos of Monster Jam - Crush it! lately. Sure, it's an arcade game, but... looks they went the same route as me as far as body damage is concerned: only the front clip breaks off!
since the raptor body is in now, can we see other trucks like gunslinger or the new carolina crusher?
