I know the fuel gauge goes down slowly as the vehicle is driven. But i havent noticed if it would go down faster if the gas tank was ruptured. I would think so, considering the fire would use it as fuel (is there always fire when the tank is ruptured, come to think of it...). Is this implemented in game and i just havent noticed?
I haven't noticed, tires will blow because of fire, but other than that, I don't think there is too big changes, I haven't ever ran out of fuel, rupturing fuel tank seems not to make it any easier to run out of fuel. There are gas stations, but I haven't seen service boys there and I don't know how to get out of the car to fill the tank, so if I ever run out of fuel, I don't have means to fill up, maybe that is coming in a future update too.
You cant get out off the Car. (but there is a command) And the Gas Stations are just for the Enviroment. And you can change the amount off Fuel in the Console aswell
Fuel consumption is implemented. If you have a full tank, even running full throttle for a long time, the range is going to be probably at least 50-100 miles depending on the car. Driven economically, the ranges can be upwards of 300-400+ miles per tank. Unless you're driving for a long time in-game (longer than five minutes) you probably won't notice the fuel level changing.
I think he means is if "ruptured fuel tank" has any effect on fuel consumed, or if its just a reason to start the fire in the car.
this. i know fuel usage is implemented, but is it, or would it, be implemented in the game to run out faster with a ruptured fuel tank. I know it can pop the tires and it will just burn, but it doesnt make sense to be able to drive essentially 400 miles or whatever, with a leaking gas tank on fire.
I don't think that will be possible for very long, there are few other bits that probably will get changes in future as there are elements that are not yet complete or that devs are not perfectly satisfied, I'm quite sure that ruptured fuel tank not decreasing fuel level is one of those things. For example coolant leak does reduce amount of coolant and eventually you run out of coolant, same will be case with fuel too in a future.
