[ARCHIVED] CRD Monster Truck Development Thread

The file structure was changed in preparation of the future public distribution.

This one is still a test version, but switching now allows other modders to update their skin packs in advance.

 

Remember when WhyBeAre did a video on this monstertruck that didn't even ahve rear wheel steering, the current version has RetroBigfoot

Yes, I do. Tried to get him to update his review and test one of the improved versions to no avail...

First release on the forums didn't even have a steering wheel, for that matter...

 

Maybe once u make the new thread he will see it and test it out.

 

I've been discussing this with @Matchbox201 and we agreed to unlock this group instead. There won't be a new forum thread, but rather this whole subforum, made public.

Makes it easier for us to manage updates, to keep maps and addons all together, to keep track of the now vast list of changes.

 

Cool, but what about the private group tho.. for the beta testing. will u invite us back to another one

 

that would be pretty nice. a private group without minecraft kids taking it over

 

We won't have a group strictly for testing anymore.

This one will be converted into a public group dedicated to the monster truck mods.

That's why I like groups better: even if this group turns public, we can still require membership to join, and we retain basic control on the subforum.

- Minor adjustments to engine thermals simulation.
- Enabled anisotropic filtering on select props (flag, battery, fiberglass lining).
- Fixed minor materials hiccups.
- Repositioned rigidifier in the Gas Monkey Garage front clip.
- Updated download for the Gavril D-Series cab adaptation by @acapaldi.

Technically, it's "released" already. The group isn't hidden anymore. Anyone interested could simply ask for membership and download away.

I want to clean some things up first, then I'll probably share the links to the group and the release thread on the forums.
