Man australians have one of the best car cultures hands down. I wish we had half the ammount of kick ass cars here in portugal that you guys do. Seriously, why has the rest of the world forgotten about utes?? A pickup truck that can outrun corvettes is pretty damn cool.
I make fun of Australia a lot but I'd love to visit. My only fear is running into fellow Americans abroad. Is there ever an off season for tourism? I want to have a spiritual awakening at Mount panorama. I also hope the whole Holden thing works out for you guys. well the bathurst 1000 is coming up in about a month. its in the first or second week of october. its nice and hot here than, good whether. and you could catch a 3-4 hour flight and come to the gold coast. thats where i live. so good here dude plenty of nice beaches and youll be able to see some nice holdens and fords (and some shitty ones to lol)
Yeah it wouldve been so good. I'm a holden man and still respect ford. Ive seen comments all over the internet from Americans saying they wished they had them over there. Dick Johnson said that no one realised how good they were built. And I wished they exported the commodore. They wouldve made fucking shitloads off it. I've also seen comments from Americans saying they love our utes and consider the Commodore ute to be like our own El Camino. Theres even a guy who buys utes from here and ships them back to America and he converts them for American roads there. Sure they wouldve love another El Camino. I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat. The utility factor is one thing, but the attraction of owning something that unique (for American roads) is entirely another. Besides; I'm a huge fan of the El Camino and Australia, so it's a win-win on my part.
yeah they are pretty unique. we race them he. big v8 with no weight on the rear and sliding. looks awesome. the racing series is called v8 utes. but they wont be racing them next year because holden is moving out of australia (can thank gm for that) and wont be making a ute anymore. the next generation commodore also wont be rear wheel drive and they wont be making a v8 model. and the next commodore will also be based on a shitty opel insignia. :'(
Why isn't there any Aussie car mods on beamng.com? That's the one thing the BeamNG.drive community is missing (especially the cars from the first Mad Max movie), if somebody could make these mods for the game, I would be 100% satisfied.
Mopar Fan here... Chrysler Valiant/Pacer/Charger/Centura is da bomb,.... Commodores were mostly Opel as most people on here all ready know about... Ugly is what they are..To me the last true Holden was the WB... . I like someones mod on here with the F1/Indy car and the Ford badge saying Fail... That That mad max car is just a crappy moon hawk with some paint on it. It's not even a muscle car like the interceptor. The interceptor was an XB Falcon coupe with a monza front bumper and other custom bits and it was black. It was a police car before that with the police livery. And commodores aren't just opels. We took Opels and changed most of the car. Changed suspension engine body etc. Much better than a crappy Opel. You are right about them being Opels but theyre very different to Opels. You might need to do some research mate.
The Holden dealership in my area has started selling Opels, it's already bad enough with half their floor being taken by Nissan.
A shitty moonhawk with some paint on it isn't a bloody mad max car. It's so fucking stupid. People will make a livery (which I appreciate), but put it on a Beamng car and claim that it's the car they based it off. If it doesn't look like an interceptor it isn't one. Wish people wouldn't be so lazy and do this. Make an XB Falcon from scratch and put the MFP livery on it. That's a mad max car not a fucking stupid little Hatchback. The interceptor was a muscle car. And don't say things like that about Holden. Read the rules mate.
I wish someone would hurry up and bloody make an Australian car for beamng. Everyone keeps claiming they will make them but then they cancel them and instead make a stupid fucking ibishu or something that is exactly the same as every other one!
I can't really make one don't have the time. But there are other people out there who can. I understand I may be annoying but what I find weird is nobody has made one even though there is a lot of demand for an Aussie car. There have been so many who have tried to make them and just as they're done, they cancel them. It's a bit bland having the same ibishu mods constantly. There needs to be an Aussie car.
I don't have time for anything much either. But I am still plodding along. Yeah it's a bit bland, who cares. If you can't or won't do it, don't expect someone else to, especially if you are annoying and rude in your asking/demanding.
