    Nice, great work Bid! :)


    Edit: The AI gearbox issue came back, but this time, I found a simple solution to fix it: set your default gearbox behavior to Arcade in the options and change it to Realistic in the game, if you need to. This fixes the issue of AI not moving.

    Hey bidwars, great mod I'm having a lot of fun with it! I just wanted to say that you're free to incorporate my derby skin mods with this if you like, I think they'd go great together! If you don't want to that's fine too just wanted to suggest it and give the go ahead. Keep up the great work on this mod!

    I've now played the 4.0 version for some days and I don't mean to be rude to you Bid, but the current car selection is pretty awful, mixed bag. :D Reason is, that it's a mess right now, there's some cars that are not suitable for derbying:

    - Modern ETK-cars, Bolide, SBR4, they just don't fit into the derbying, since they're special/modern cars, and ETK-ones break up so quickly.

    And some of the car configurations are not good:

    - Too big tyres on some of them, so they stick everywhere.
    - Open differentials are troublesome, when the cars bend too much.
    - ABS brakes on the cars makes them slow to stop.
    - Electronic Stability Control/Traction Control/ECU gives so much trouble when playing with cars that have those.

    What I also noticed is that some of the cars have automatic gearboxes and some of them don't, so best would be to have manual boxes on all of them, since if people use Arcade gearbox behaviour, gears will change automatically anyway. But us who like to change gears manually and use clutch, automatic gearboxes kinda ruin the gameplay somewhat.


    You should just add the doors back to the stripped ones, since the doors are part of the car's structure, so when you remove them, the cars bend more easily from the middle, making them unable to move pretty quickly (in other words, they look like bananas after couple heavy hits). And create separate modern car class for those modern/special cars.

    I dunno about your opinion about the car setup package I sended to you, but that sort of layout for the cars would be the ideal condition for the old cars, then you could just customize them with cool paintjobs/skins.


    Car class system also needs some reorganisation. Currently, the car classes are so confusing, you have SBR4 in a compact class with Miramar and Covet, which are so much more fragile and smaller, but more suitable to derbying due them being low end old cars. There's not enough cars for every class to fill them up to 8 different cars, so you should have workaround with that by doing different skins to the cars, so you can use more of the same cars in the same class and there is more variety because the different painjobs.

    If you can at some point, concider of doing the classes like this:

    Compacts - Covet, Miramar, Pessima (the old one)

    Middle-Class - LeGran, Ibishu 200BX, ETK-I-series, Sunburst, Pessima (the modern one)

    Large Cars - Marshall, Moonhawk, Barstow, Burnside Special



    This would make more sense and would be more fair to the player as well

    Other classes were just fine, just needs more skins to bring more variety to them due the lack of different cars as well.



    But propably you should have you main priority right now with the saving system, so that the game remembers your selections after the round, that's important thing to have. :)

    Please continue to update this! As of now the cars are far too slow! The v6's are not cutting it for those big old cars! Need big blocks! 4 barrel on the moonhawk with stock radiator is fine. 4 barrel big block on Barstow should probably have a performance radiator so that you can let her sing since you're just gonna snap the driveshaft anyways!

    Would it be possible to have another option to select stock or all as a config so it would grab Stock BeamNG Cars and Other mods?

    And for the compacts, they should have smaller wheels, and tires. They're way to big for the cars. They'd be impossible to rotate if the fenders were even remotely squished.

    Timer keeps going if the game is paused. Easy win.

    Not a problem. :) The mod is really good, no doubt about it. It just need some polish and balancing, that's all.

    Want to point out that in the U.S. even the pickups and stock awd cars are required to remove the front driveshaft to make them rwd only, or for some awd cars, fwd only!

    I think pickups are more fun as rwd. Otherwise applying torque to your front tireswill not only cause more understeer, but it results in a lot more front end parts getting wrecked like ball joints and tie rods.

    This is good, I would like to see the pickups in the derby config 2 class have the off road front bumper and the chrome rear bumper, would be nice to see all cars without rear bumpers but with fronts only in Derby config 2 IMO. Thanks for updating this again!

    Game crashes every single time I press start on this scenario, no matter the configuration. Have disabled all other mods and even re-installed the game, all to no avail.

    Any thoughts?
