Not even close to bullshitting about making it. It's obviously not my model, anyone who looks at what I've ever made would know that I use what already exists. Plus, if you read my post, it does show that I'm modifying someone else model. If I made it, I would have just made it modified rather than changing it later. I apologize that I didn't spare every little detail about the model. I'll make sure alert everyone about its origin and vert count from now on. /s Seriously, it isn't released yet, and almost half of the cars in this thread are from different places but nobody says anything because they aren't released yet. I really don't want to have to list every since one of my sources for my models in every single post I make here, rather just once on a credits list on a mod page. Anyway, back to cars. I've finished working on a undercarrige for it, since it's a car model from Forza 3 it does not come with models for an engine or an undercarriage so I had to rip one from the covet instead. It looks like garbage. I need to start over. or at least paint it a different color :/ I also did an engine bay (also from the covet, since its a car from Forza and it doesn't come with an engine bay) Less terribad, but it just doesn't work well have old body colored metal bits there. It needs more black plastic. Also needs more pieces since for some reason some appear to be missing by the shock towers. But that's what you get when you work on something until 3 a.m It's using the engines from the covet currently, since they'll fit size-wise, but I don't know if it fits period-wise. What do you think?
I've started work on a little two-door sports coupé, it's in very early stages..... so I know that there is HUMONGOUS amount of work to be done. This car would be either an Ibishu or from a rival brand, it's a subcompact sports car (most likely FWD) and is loosely based on the Nissan 100 NX.
Making the model look nicer and fixed some bugs in the process. Spoiler: things -DAE cleaned up. -Hood and fender edges are more straight. -Hood front now fits better. -Fenders now match up with headlights better. -Glowmaps officially working (with D-Troxx's help; broken in 0.8.5) -Added speculation materials (Left out in 0.8.5 by accident). -Fender wells are now more clean. -Materials.cs optimization (removed unneeded material lines). -More jbeam optimization (hopefully). update released as 0.8.6
I'd recommend instead of that, you should combine the truck and the covet into a blazer type car: So the jbeaming is almost done There is a bit of a continuity problem; in irl this civic has a split tailgate (the top opens normally while the bottom half opens more like truck tailgate But the interior model isn't "split" where the bottom half would normally operate, but that's a minor nitpick. If I can't get it to work properly, then it can just be another thing to make this more "unique". The interior is still being a douche. I don't know why its shadeless black, it does have a texture and is coded basically like the normal interior texture.
Have this.... Somebody please finish it. IK it's not even a full file, but :/ I used a bit of mod stuff in it at the port by accident, so... Whatever...
Noooo. Can you please upload a version on the forums with actual Honda badges? I'm getting a little sick of fictional vehicles.
The main reason I'm rebranding it is because it's convenient. If I were a pro like 99!, bernd, d-troxx it could be a true civic. But I'm not, and making it an Ibishu makes me able to take shortcuts where my skill ends; Can't model a VTec? Use a covet engine. Can't make a believable undercarriage? Use the covet's. Can't make some parts work? Make it a "feature". At this point if I called it a "Civic", I'd basically be lying because, at this point, it isn't much of a Civic anymore.
