Try the map that came with the demo. (Gridmap) All of the foliage in the full maps generates extra graphics lag. Seeing as changing graphics settings helps you, I'm going to guess you have a weak or mid-range GPU.

When posting lag related problems, please post the specs of your computer, for example, what CPU you have etc.

Never heard of a Core i2. Did you mean Core 2 Duo or Core i3 by chance? Also, could you tell us what your processor clock speed is?

Alternatively, if you don't know much about computers and/or are lazy, run Speccy (LINK), and give us a screengrab of the output of the Summary tab, like this:

I really don't know what to say, on the system requirements page, your computer falls somewhere between "Minimum" and "Might run but not supported." The fact that the game doesn't just immediately crash to desktop is a miracle. Also, was your system idling? 59[SUP]o[/SUP]C is not a healthy idle temp., dust out that computer. You could try some performance centric mods like the Golf Cart, DSC Buggy, or DKutch's crawler, but you'll need to register your account with the activation link that should have been in the download E-Mail you received in order to view the threads with the mod downloads. You'll know you activated your account when you see the badge under your name. Here's an image showing the activation link in the E-Mail.

If you bought the game check the e-mail they sent you and activate your account. Oterwhise we could be helping a pirate here

Regarding the post, you have an OLD gpu, really really OLD, you're lucky it even runs the game.

Nothing about your youtube channels can confirm or deny that you are a pirate considering you have no BeamNG footage at all.

If you want to prove that your not a pirate you have to activate your account. Instructions for how to do so are included with the purchase email. Activating your account will stick a small badge under your profile picture and can be used to quite quickly confirm you own the game.

But regardless. That system even a few years ago would have been obsolete. Looking at the fact its using DDR2 RAM suggests to me that it will be a ridiculously outdated motherboard so not really worth upgrading the system either. If you want to play BeamNG your going to need a new machine really.

Your machine barely meets our minimum requirements, if at all: http://wiki.beamng.com/Requirements

That computer is old and outdated in every aspect. They stopped making hardware compatible for your computer years ago, so all you can do is throw that computer away (or try to sell it, but I don't know who can be interested in that), and then buy a new one.

That GPU you have is a low-end card from 2005, that is 8-9 years old low-end hardware. Maybe you paid £1,000, but you can't expect a computer to run all games forever.

And again, please upgrade your account using the link in the e-mail you received when you bought the game, it takes a minute and it proves you actually bought the game, and also grants access to the private section of the forums.

If you paid £1000 a few years ago, then maybe. But if you bought the machine recently then you've been totally ripped off.

You are using DDR2 RAM. DDR3 came out in 2007 and then was the predominant RAM technology for desktop computers by late 2009/early 2010.

Frankly I find it hard to imagine paying £1000 for a dual core 1.86Ghz machine, I think you were probably ripped off anyway. The 1.86ghz E6300 came out in 2006 and used an LGA775 motherboard socket which is also *long* obsolete. You will struggle to find a CPU capable of running BeamNG that will fit a 775 socket nowadays, and the few companies that have stock on 775 chips charge a huge premium for them, its actually cheaper to buy a new motherboard with a modern CPU socket and a matching processor. I've just visited both of my regular sites, neither one is carrying 775 hardware at all anymore.

Even when new not far off a decade ago that GPU was low end. It was literally intended to be a step up from having integrated graphics, the integrated graphics on a modern core i3/i5/i7 are probably better.

That machine is not worth upgrading at all. The *only* parts which aren't totally out of date are the hard drives, optical drives and possibly the case (dell have been known to use weird cases which wont take normal setups). The CPU is years out of date, the motherboard wont take a new CPU, with a new CPU probably comes better graphics than what you have, new motherboard wont take your obsolete ram.

Sorry man but that machine was obsolete years ago, let alone today. Take a 0 off of the price you paid and you would still be overestimating its current worth.
