On the other forum that I frequent, we've got a whole thread dedicated to bad parking we've found in the wild. Here are just a few recent ones.
Split exactly equal three ways between Priuses, bro-tanks, and everything else. Interesting observation.
One bro-tank, one totally stock Ford, that just happens to be owned by an idiot. It also seems to back up my theory about pickups with stacks, That the size of the stack is directly related to the size of something else. Something else I've noticed, you very rarely see injured or infirmed people in the handicapped parking spaces or the little electric buggies, it's always someone who is 600 lbs and thinks they are disabled, Fat is not a disability.
The car has tons of life in it. It drives great. Steering is tight, trans and engine are both really strong. Hasn't let me down a single time. The body and interior are both in really good shape, relatively. I think I'm gonna ask $2,800 or $2,900, and try to get at least $2,500 out of it. I have right at 2 grand in it. I've literally spent $30 on maintenance. I love these things. I think I'm gonna try and buy this. It's in great shape and shouldn't go for much because reverse is shot. You can rebuild 4l60e's for like $10. Those things are shit. We'll see.
Wow, Opel/Vauxhall got finally buy by PSA, a grand total of 1.8 milliards €, cheap for an old brand I guess. They assure no close of factory, we'll see... German was American, now I guess German is French. To be honnest I don't care, I hate Opel, they tricked us back at the time with their crappy fiat engine. Well done ! I hope Peugeot will do something good with this brand.
What do you expect, it's Bedford, nothing good happens in Bedford. Just hobos pissing in the high street
This 2013 Mazda CX5 keeps bullshitting me with the cheap underside plastic falling apart after light trail driving.
I'll play. The silver 4wd, automatic 360 half ton Dodge does about 13 MPG on 89, and about 430-440 miles per tank. The red 2wd, 5 speed manual 12 valve Cummins Dodge used to average around 25 MPG on summer diesel, and about 900 miles per tank, but like I've said before, it hasn't been on the road in a while.
Average between 280 to 370 on an 11 gallon tank depending on weather I'm hooning or hiway cruising. I'm also running fairly rich so there's that.
Around 2.1l/100km during winter time and around 1.8l/100km during summer, but I have only two wheels installed You so need to click my sig..
Here's something worth sharing, a friend of mine just picked this up, 69 Nova with a newer 350 and a 4 speed. I've personally never been a fan of the small, unibody cars, but I've always liked the looks of the 68-74 Chevy II's and Nova's,
This is tempting. 1993 Buick Century Wagon. Last year of the 3.3L V6. $975. I'd talk him to like $700 if I could. [ https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/6035029880.html Think it's time to bite the bullet and actually build my PC tho.
During winter time I've been getting around 10l/100km depending how I'm driving. Before winter I think I got like low 9l/100km or less, mostly city driving. Iirc I got it to like 7l/100km when I bought the car and drove it home roughly 400km. (got a full tank of gas when I bought it and filled the tank again when I got home to see the fuel consumption) During winter I've been getting average range of a bit over 500km with the 63 liter tank, depending how empty I drive it. Also using 98E5 petrol. Haven't really figured out if I can use 95E10 petrol but I suppose it's fine. (would be quite cheaper) Edit; seems like I'll go with 98E5 (my car has the same engine as the Barchetta)
Naturally aspirated motor of reasonable but not insane compression. Doubt your ECU is capable of so aggressively advancing timing to actually take advantage of the anti knock properties of 98. Check service manual, it'll probably show both recommended and Max octanes, I'd wager they'll read 95 and 98. For me. Running near enough 14 pounds of boost. I take premium grade unleaded all the time. UK that's anywhere between 97 and 99 octane (tesco for example do offer 99). 25-30mpg.
Yeah, I personally think it'll be fine but a few websites say otherwise. Could prolly check my manual but it's completely in German. But I think I'll still go with 98 since I'll save only roughly 3€ per a tank of fuel.
I have adjustable ignition, have been setting that today for premium high octane fuel and I think it starts to be close now, with 2.5hp rated max power even smallest of adjustments have some effect. Compared to factory setting, world of difference especially in part throttle acceleration. Lower octane might do fine too, but it's easier to have one type of fuel in garage for every machine. With adjustable ignition I can get everything out from fuel what it is possible to get out from fuel with current engine. When I was still allowed to drive cars, I used mostly diesel, but with more fun cars highest octane fuel, price difference was not really that much. --- Post updated --- So if I would swap 160cc big block motor to my moped, that would be a bolt on swap and then I could put something like this on it: http://www.ecotrons.com/products/small_engine_rhb31_vz21_turbocharger/ I wonder if it could still be called a moped after all that, but of course issue is just a theoretical one, it would cost easily 1500 dollars just for parts and I don't have enough loose cash for such project, tempting though.
You swap a 160cc engine and throw that lawnmower turbo on it, AND get it running alright AND the trans and gearing work out, you should have one hell of a sleeper scooter.
