Honestly if there was some kind of pavement princess version that is raised higher than practical for rock crawling or any offroading an aftermarket turbo doesn't seem like it would be too out of place, but thats kind of me just hoping the game ends up getting more in the ways of stupid impractical but not entirely unrealistic stuff.
Like I said, we have parts that aren't used in configs currently. IIRC the Pigeon has a factory motor that wouldn't have been legal at the time, so some cars can have parts that aren't always realistic. There are a number of things we have not practical as well. I do not believe it is out of the question to get a turbo for the hopper, just not something to bet on.
Ooh, is this a new camera mode? https://www.beamng.com/threads/italy-progress.24505/page-3#post-558172
I prefer the synsol's way of going through roundabout ...but I wonder is he using the replay system for those cinematic shots?
The tyres sometimes feel like they're filled with superglue and when they touch something, they are stuck there forever, till some parts break and other weird stuff.
That does not make sense at all, there are I4 engines with supercharger, some Mini Cooper models for example, why it would not be possible to put into I6 engine?
Did anyone notice that the first roundabout is wrong? One side comes off the highway, and one goes on. The highway is obviously one direction, but both exits are 2 direction. Just noticing.
One entrance of the roundabout has a stop sign, the other ones have a give way sign. Never seen that in real life.
True, unless they plan to add more roads near the highway. Many new "highway feeds" are made like this now, so a single road could link both ways. It's very space efficient and safe. You're right. While in Italy that's possible if one of the roads has very poor visibility on the roundabout, that's quite uncommon. More notably, the STOP writing would go with a STOP bar, not with the give way triangles: Also the writing may be missing (quite rare occurrence though). The cypresses around the roundabout (rotonda) are really a nice touch. On the inside, most Italian rotonde have a sort of large kerb for big rigs to pass more easily. Many also host some form of decoration, may it be garden or monuments or modern work of arts: This is true irrespective of the rotonda size: Once more the general feeling of being "at home" when watching the Italy map screenshots is a testament to the dedication and efforts of the Beam Team Please keep it up!
In America the roundabout under the freeway is just a 2 way road. Depending on how busy it is at that particular junction there may or may not be a light. That works fine, and you Europeans love your roundabouts, and that example works just as well, but the roundabout in the Italy map doesn't work that way. It's on one side of the freeway. In America it would just be a 3 way T-stop, probably with a light. Maybe I don't understand roundabouts, but the one they have makes no sense.
Sorry, I didn't really explain myself. I thought that the real junction was still missing from what we're seeing, and that the completed/pictured one was just a proxy. Anyway on further inspection of the screenshot, I noticed that the junction is made the old way, with a Y coming out of/in the right of the highway. It's barely visible, if you're on mobile I doubt you can see it. In the end, the same road is used for people leaving the highway and entering it. Like this one, more or less. You can see that on the left a tunnel is missing, that will probably come from the left side of the highway, where another Y is present. Caution, ugly Paint scheme incoming: Quite true. We hate stopping our cars. Conservation of momentum is everything! (LOL without offense)
Expensive petrol, stick shift and small motors, that does not make good stoplight races, so going fast around corners became euro way.
