I have no idea. It's the most interesting category I've ever seen. Such a diverse grid that's so hard to find. Where else will you see old tuner cars from around the world trading paint with 6 liter holden goliaths? I haven't watched the v8 supercar races and I don't care to. Not even the gt3 class was as good at the clipsal 500. It's fun for the whole God damned family.

I find the V8 supercars incredibly boring, same with NASCAR (not that I watch it) or anything like that with highly repetitive laps that go on forever. Time attack, classic car racing, rally or drifting is far more interesting to me.

I love drifting, it's one of my preferred motorsports. However, regulated drifting (like D1) is the most boring thing on the planet.

Now, Japanese Street Drifting, fuck yes.

I absolutely agree, I went to a drift meet at Mallala called the Matsuri, basically a track day for drifters and the atmosphere would be much better than a super organised meet. Cars were going all day and because there were so many cars, it was non stop action from when I got there to when I left.

The backup camera in my dad's Genesis is also kind of screwy. Never seen it do that, but sometimes it will display nothing but a blue screen.
I bought the Yukon. 90s GM suv that needs a trans. What have I gotten myself into.

    700R4 or 4L60E?

Either way, you'll end up wanting a TH400.

Mine always gets so wet you may as well not have it.. luckily my car isn't that blind and it's good for just getting close to stuff or hitching trailers as you can see the tow hitch on it.

SM465, Getrag G360, NV3500, or my personal recommendation, an NV4500.

Dam this Supra is cleaaaaaaaan. I could imagine a dealer buying this to display in their showroom especially with the MK V coming out next year.

For a supra of that condition $19,000 still seems a bit low, even for an auto. Hope it goes to a good home rather than being turned into a drift, drag or circuit car.

Surely it would go to a good home. Most of those people would look for fairly worn examples like say this or worse.

If it was a manual Twin turbo it would go for this amount. personally if I was in the market for one I would look for one that has been lightly modified as for this price I could almost get a new GT Mustang.

I completely missed that the first one you linked was non turbo. What is the point of an NA, auto sports car? Where is the fun in that.
$62,000 though seems a bit much. As someone who will most likely never buy a car over about 20 thousand on the purchase of a car, i dont see the point in paying for the chance to own a bit of history, maybe for a classic like an F40 or an E-Type Jag but not a supra. There are R32 GTR's for sale in Australia for less than that. They have more k's but I would rather an R32 GTR than a Supra if i were to spend that amount.

4L60e. I'm hoping most of the transmission is in decent condition besides the sungear or sunshell or whatever is broken with reverse. I dunno. I'll tear it apart and see what it looks like.

The point of the N/A supra was probably for people who wanted to look the business but couldn't afford the turbo and couldn't drive manual that well.

The Yukon is still sitting in the back lot of the Bradley County fleet garage. That area got pounded by hail yesterday, with reports of tennis ball sized hail very close to where the Yukon is.
    Fuck me.

If its anything like my parents Hyundai I40 it will be running Windows CE with a skin on top. That alone should answer any and all questions you have about the systems quirks.

On the plus side there are ways to get access to the windows desktop if you try hard enough, although I have never tried cause I don't really want to screw with my parents car :p . Some people have reported that plugging a USB keyboard into the cars USB media and charging port and hitting the windows key is enough to get you to the desktop xD

From what I have read the entertainment system resets any changes you make or programs you install when you restart the car. But don't take my word for that, I am not responsible if you break stuff [/disclaimer]
However whatever the person in the youtube video did seems to have prevented that from happening which is neat I guess.

Here is a video of it for anyone interested:

Looks promising for a genesis too :p
