Nothing special, built the desktop in september of 2015, only issue is my 2TB Barracuda died, but I contacted the store I bought it from and they sent me a 1TB WD Black. Desktop specs are in signature, got the CPU and GPU off ebay, GPU was $140 at the time which was a steal, and CPU was $165~. The CPU looked like a good idea at the time but I ended up having to pay $120 plus $45 shipping from newegg to Australia, as I couldn't find any good motherboards with LGA1155 support. It probably would have been better to just buy a newer CPU and get a cheaper motherboard, but oh well, it does what I want very well Total price for build was about $1100 AUD, much more expensive over here, but I think I got pretty good value for money. Laptop was purchased a few weeks ago on ebay for $800 AUD, the seller seemed a bit cross I got it for so cheap

Also for good cheap desks check out local college surplus sales. Around me they have a lot of desks which are way better quality than ones you would pick up at an office store. This one ran me $35 and is super solid.
My rig I affectionately call Frank, short for Frankenstien. From humble Core 2 Duo beginnings to a useless haswell I7 mess (It was slower than a FX8350 in benchmarks and couldn't overclock worth a damn) to the glorious Ivy bridge beast it currently is, all the parts may be different but in spirit it's still Frank to me. May be getting treated to a new heart soon, a Ryzen heart, haven't been on team red since the Athlon XP days and I'm kinda fed up with Intel...

Here's mine, for now: Quit the unique situation, running an external gpu. Hardware: Laptop: MSI GE60 2PC Apache 2014 i7 4710HQ 8GB DDR3 Kingston Value ram. 256GB Samsung 850 evo SSD. eGpu: R9 390 Nitro 8GB GDDR5 dGpu: GTX 850M (Maxwell) Not important: Although its running well for now, I do have some throttling issues with my cpu which is annoying within beam, and the mpci-e connection bandwidth isn't quit fast enough for some games like Rise of the Tomb Raider or Overwatch (yup). Hence I am looking to either upgrade to a xeon system with a E5-2665 and/or possibly lateron a 39/4930k and a cheap chinese LGA2011 mobo, or I might wait for the ryzen R5 cpu's. Both would be around 400~ euro in total ((Second handed)including ram, ssd, cooler and possibly a case, though I might just put it in open air). PSU and GPU (duh) are already in possession.
Time to make some gaming computer builders cringe at what I have... I've mentioned it's specs here on the forums before, but not it's time to see what my computer setup actually looks like... I've had this pc since May 2015 and I must say based off of what my friends think, my computer hardware research is very poor and I have never built my own proper game pc in my life. Specs (recap) Processor: AMD A10-6700 APU (yes... an apu and it's a hot runner, sometimes it reaches 90 degrees C ) RAM: 8GB coming from a single stick Graphics card: evga Nvidia GTX 750 Ti running two monitors Hard Drive: Western Digital 1TB mechanical hard drive Power Supply: Corsair 500 watt The motherboard is a micro atx in a micro atx case and it feels pretty cramped to work on... to add even more cringyness to this post... this pc was also from Best Buy, cost about $500 dollars after tax, and I spent about another $200+ for the add ons (extra fans, power supply and graphics card). Please excuse the ugly wires in the background... But I did give this pc a bit of a blue glow however. Yeah... desk is pretty small considering my art tablet in the middle takes up a good deal of space ( Yes, I do artwork for a hobby ) The monitor above is a 20 inch Dell monitor I got at a thrift store for $20, 1680 x 1050 is it's resolution, but the phone camera really washed out the colors due to the lighting. I personally think my whole work station is looking pretty tired. The most expensive thing in my whole setup is my Wacom Cintiq 13HD Tablet alone at 800 dollars! xD
Oh god, 700 bucks for an A10 plus the 750 Ti? That is just bad value right there. My PC is even worse, but damn. Well, I've had mine since December 2013 with no upgrades so I guess I can't blame you. I should probably build a PC soon. Just saying.
Prebuilt in 2015, Editied in 2016. Bought in July of 2015 with a AMD FX 6300 at 3.5ghz 16 Gigabytes of RAM A GT 740 Graphics card and 1 TB of memory. In 2016, I bought a GTX 960 SSC to put in, currently overclocked(i think), and had to buy a new power supply to go with it. The PSU is a Thermalake brand.. dont remember the name. Has blue LEDs in the front on the fan, and on my headset wireless receiver. In the winter, I blow air with a fan into the front without the panel on because it is hot in here lol
I also forgot to mention that the friend I crawled to for computer advice worked at Best Buy at the time. The power supply and Graphics card were bought separately. So initially, I ran BeamNG on just the on board graphics with the 8GB of ram and man that processor fan spun like crazy. The frame rate was playable, but not too impressive since my settings at the time were mostly on "Lowest".
