    Hi everyone,
It's time to give some news about mods that will be available in the future.

I present you the Heolia Vendome, a Citroen DS knock off fictional car project that begun at the end of last year. This is very early Wip stage.

    heolia_vendome_earlypresentation_sergentfido_001.jpg heolia_vendome_earlypresentation_sergentfido_002.jpg heolia_vendome_earlypresentation_sergentfido_003.jpg heolia_vendome_earlypresentation_sergentfido_004.jpg heolia_vendome_earlypresentation_sergentfido_005.jpg

This is why the Oldsfullsize update is not going fast, i need variety to avoid to get bored and i don't work currently on a unique project.
Also, i don't like very much to show early work like this , but as a DS thread was just launched i thought it was fair to show that a similar project exists and is way more advanced already. Not the real car though.

The Citroen DS is my all time favorite car and i have a blast doing this, i drool to see it working in game. It's so exciting and reminds me so much movies stunts with this car :)

    Important notice :

    - no release date yet, please don't ask for it. It will be released ... when it's ready.
    - This is possiblly one piece of a bigger project
    - as for every modding stuff , there is always a possibility it gets cancelled, due to life and work priorities
    - beta test group closed

    Credits:
    Synsol
    : Jbeam
Sergent Fido : 3D model and textures, maybe sounds

    current state :

    - Jbeam almost finished. It's always good to have a good jbeam before polyshing the model and textures, it's motivating and a guarantee the car will be playable, should the texturing be unfinished that the car will run and drive fine.
    - hydraulic suspensions being worked on, for now it drives with a place holder suspension.
    - model of the body almost done, lacks now engine and interior details, then all the texturing.
    - drivetrain models done, needs details and textures.

    Features :

    - hydraulic suspensions with height control (Wip)
    - rotating lights with steering (done)

    heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0194.jpg

    - leather and velours interior (Wip), removable roof

    heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0137.jpg

    - 4 and 6 cylinders engine, 5 speed manual and 3 speeds automatique transmissions

    Design :

The idea is a bit like if the DS had a last facelift instead of being replaced, so it gets a V6 engine from an italian company (Civetta ?) like the SM, and the design is mixed with this car as well : similar Headlights and interior, sharper edges on the body, hood, fenders, big taillights.

To get an idea of what it would look like, i made a quick sketch :

    quick_sketch_heoliavendome_sergentfido.jpg

Not very well balanced nor proportioned, but it doesn't matter.

Then i did two photoshop montages to see a possible result, by adding SM parts on two DS photos and painting the body to figure out the shapes :

    heolia_vendome_front_photoshop_sergentfido.jpg heolia_vendome_rear_photoshop_sergentfido.jpg
(credit to the photographer, is there is an issue sharing this modified photos to illustrate my preliminary work, please let met know and i'll remove them)

Then i've painted a modified "blue print" with the new features to help build the car. only the side and top views where usefull, rear and front are not real blueprint views. But as this is a fictional car, i had room left to improvisation. that is appreciable comparing to reproducing a real car with accuracy.

    heolia-vendome-blueprint2.jpg

now you can see a bunch of work in progress pics, that i thought you could appreciate to see :

    heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0001.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0002.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0003.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0004.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0005.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0006.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0007.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0008.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0009.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0010.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0011.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0012.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0013.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0014.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0015.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0016.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0017.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0018.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0019.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0020.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0021.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0023.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0024.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0027.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0028.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0030.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_wip_0032.jpg

And to finish, some in game screenshots. This car is heavily unsafe and will fall in parts pretty easily. With the V6 engine it's a fast car that stick the road, which make it even more dangerous. But hey, this is the 70', no speed limits on the highway in France :)

    heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0115.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0119.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0120.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0122.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0125.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0157.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0158.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0162.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0163.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0164.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0165.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0176.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0178.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0180.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0181.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0187.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0190.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0198.jpg heolia_vendome_sergentfido_ingame_0199.jpg

Synsol and i we hope you like what you see for now, please understand this will take some time to be done well and also other stuff is being made in the same time.

Heolia is the fictivious Brand that refers to Eole the god of wind (the real DS name means déesse, which is the word for feminine God).

    https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Place_Vendôme

Vendome is a french town, and its name is used in a famous place in Paris called "place Vendome", known for its jewelery activity. All of that places the car into the luxury and presidential, parisian car feel :)

Honestly the hype is real for this car man! I half hope its more optimised than your Oldsfullsize mod but with a body like that I honestly couldn't care less if it ran at 1fps and made my computer implode.

    Keep it up!

Awesome! As next project maybe you can make 2010s French hatchback similar to Renault Megane Mk3 (called Charmand CH4).

I hate them with a passion. For me nice cars production stopped in 1995, with some exceptions. I'm sick of seeing and hearing all of those diesel with all the same look cars everywhere. I miss the time i could recognise a car in the street just by hearing the engine. Now it's all the same "glock glock glock" ugly knocking sound.

This looks astonishing, looking forward to this especially to experience the air suspension.

There are almost zero french cars here in Canada so I always found them interesting. I like the mentality of making a car all about comfort.

If you have Microsoft windows then you can right click on a file. Then go to sent to. Then go to compressed zip, and you are done. :)

    Also good luck.

Well, I hope this Citroen actually gets finished, because there's another that is still WIP, while the 1st is too old and has a few issues.
