[SOLVED]Please Help! Intel Baytrail laptop not keeping time

    Its an ASUS T100TAF, latest BIOS and etc. I just recently updated my Intel Graphics driver actually.
    It doesn't keep time, if I flip the set time automatically off and then on it downloads the correct time and goes on from there, it is slow.

    The CMOS battery on the mainboard is responsible for keeping time. If it's depleted then the system won't keep the time and the BIOS settings. I don't know how/if you can replace it on Laptops though....

    If the CMOS battery is in fact depleted you should get an error on the boot-up screen

    Edit: Your Laptop actually seems to be a Tablet.....

    yeah, I have posted this on a transformer forum now, and I might email asus tech support too. I honestly don't know how on earth this is happening. The BIOS clock is flakey on some models tho during sleep mode, but mine is just a slow clock

    well the screen broke on it so I replaced it (without disconnecting the battery) and now the clock runs fine...don't know what happened tho
