With all the crap about the transmission. you can just easily rip a manual transmission from one of the official vehicles and make it work with this car. as easy as that. so if he decides to make it or not, you can just do that.
No need to do that even, just set the shift point lower and the auto works fine, as SixSixSevenSeven said above.
I have a suggestion: Do you think you could make one that's lowered/ stanced? I know this is a Jetta, but it's close enough. Thanks!
But in all seriousness, lug pattern has been swapped to four-lug. Soon you will be able to live out all of your #ricelyfe fantasies. A few aftermarket parts will be made to replace the ETKi ones I forgot to remove. --- Post updated --- Oh I'm not afraid to admit why: Straight up I knew it would trigger you guys. But I'm tired of the pandering and damage control that goes on in the forums. Not everyone needs to meet your standards and I'm tired of the footing that goes on around here. Seriously, have a problem with something? Fix it yourself. That's how we all learned over in RoR, I don't see why it doesn't apply here.
But not everyone knows how to do that here. Some people have no experience in modding or how to even get to the file that contains the engine file. This makes it more user friendly so people don't have to do modifications outside the game and it's ready to use and fully experience with ease.
I'm not even bothered that you disabled arcade auto, I just find it petty and unnecessary. I agree that you reserve the right to do that, I was merely pointing out that if you had focused less on trying to disable a feature that is used in every single other vehicle besides yours, that you could have fixed other things.
See, I work on things in chunks at a time, so when I was working on the engine and transmission, that was part of that section of work. It literally took less than a second to glance over and change that. I'm very well aware of what all has to get done.
Here's a hint, you change the "lowshiftuprpm" from 9700 to 4700. Or if you're lazy, you can copy the transmission lines from the etki engine jbeam to the fox engine jbeam. Ez pz lemon squeeze.
It's a one digit change. It says 9000 where it should say 5000 or 6000. It would make 0 impact to bug fixing time --- Post updated --- Seriously folk all he's done is on the line of code where the shifting rpm is chosen is choose one higher than the engine can reach. You can just change it. I'm not going to tell you how, there's a wiki, use this as a learning experience
The interior, jbeam (while edited), and some small textures. mesh wise, the fox model is 100% mine, the interior is etk, but that's temporary till I actually get around to finishing mine. meshwise it's like 15% etk,
@Everybody Calm down. If you want to discuss, do it like civil people. Author didn't want to make its mod work with 'Arcade Auto'? His own reasons, his own problem. Author, no need to reply people in rude manners when they ask questions. People, no need to reply to author in rude manners either. Posts that continue that stupid behavior will be deleted :|
I believe author don't want such to be added to this mod, based on 1st post and this: https://www.beamng.com/threads/1989-volkswagen-fox-north-american-vw-gol.38182/#post-573792
Aye, just went into reading the whole thing. While I don't understand the reason into purposely not allowing everybody to play with his mod (I'm on of the people that mainly uses arcade mode), it's the author own choice (even though it was very poorly explained). No reason to stop communicating like normal human beings.
Ohhh can't wait!! When i drove the WIP it was really slow till it got over 20MPH --- Post updated --- Guys it don't matter about transmission! If you want yours go steal it off the covet instead of being selfish because you don't get what you want!
