Bench testing my various amp's and receivers. My little Technics SA-400 is pushing out a clean 46 WPC into my 8ohm dummy load.
Been looking around for car related events either in my area or with good transport links. Came across this gem...
Nottingham is pretty sh!t. We have such a reputation, that there was a nickname. "Shottingham." Also, I'm in 'spoons right now, and there's a guy with a Half-Life 2 tattoo.
You should come to liverpool, you'll get your car stolen, recovered burnt out and your house burned down...
It's just a standard Lee Enfield chambered in .22LR, it isn't a hacked up pistol or anything, perhaps you misunderstood. I called it a glorified pistol since it shoots a comparatively small cartridge, but I've since done a bit more research on .22LR and it's more impressive than I first thought. It's actually around $850 which is fairly reasonable, not that I would be able to get one anyway since I live in a suburban area and don't actually have any use for it.
Ah, See here, a rifle can legally be considered a pistol, if it hasn't got a stock, and has a barrel shorter than 16 inches. I'd actually quite like to get a hold of a proper Enfield, as .303 British is quite easy to come by here locally. I'm curious about that .22 Enfield though, as I know single shot .22LR Enfields were used as training rifles in some parts of the former British empire. I also just realized that I don't have a single operable .22, I've got two, a Springfield M2, and a Winchester Model 490, and both are missing their magazines.
The .22 Lee Enfield was used here in Aus as a training rifle I think, or at least was at some point, and you can buy the .303 for hunting and target shooting I think. I've always liked the design of WW1 era firearms, especially the Lee Enfield and the Mosin.
Go to take a dump and come back to find this: Yep, that's fine Windows, go right ahead and do that. I didn't like that drawing I was working on anyway. To top it off:
