Here are some of the cars I'm basing my skins on. I really like the NJSP livery. It's very simplistic, and it would fit well with this location as NJ is very industrial. I'll probably base the state police cars off these. Standard car liveries would probably be based on some of the Kearny Police cars, as Kearny is notably industrial (That's what Acter Industrial Park is based off of). Sheriff liveries based off the PA state police. I like this livery a lot, and I hope to implement a similar one. One question, what (Fictional) state and (Fictional) county would the city of Vantage be in? I can use the State of New Carson (A fictional state appearing in a lot of things I've made (Based on NJ))
I really like them, especially the third one. Make sure you focus on older cars since the city was abandoned it the early 2000s. I dont think the whole county is abandoned though, so one or two for modern cars would be great. As for the state we can go with New Carson, I never had anything in mind location-wise. But for the county, I'd say something like Vantage County since I plan on splitting it up into 2 smaller cities.
I was going to make skins for the GM, D-Series, Roamer, and H-Series. What cities will there be? If I have names, then I can put them on the city units --- Post updated --- Is this vantage city or a different map? --- Post updated --- Will VC still keep the creepy ambient music?
Well, Vantage City obviously. For the second one, what about Vulcan City? To stick with the Aston theme. Thats VC, I was thinking it'd be fitting with the theme to have a fenced border wall. Not sure if I will keep it though. Most likely.
Ok. Vulcan City will use cars based on the Elizabeth NJ police (Tudor in GTA IV), Vantage city will use the Kearny ones.
Yes, if I haven't posted this before, feel free to make off with and use my road textures and use them all you want. If they come out too dark you might have a normal-map error. Tennessee has some pretty good 2-lane textures and So-Cal Interstate has some nice new-highway textures if you need that.
PROGRESS REPORT #2 the roads are finally looking nice, textures by @bob.blunderton the bridges are now actual bridges and not just mesh roads started work on a new area these houses are made by stacking up and/or clipping them, a nice technique to achieve more variety still open for suggestions...
Now that you mentioned it, I might release a rainy version... --- Post updated --- currenty detailing the borders of the map... before after
