Guinness book of world records doesn't disagree at all. The record is specifically for mass production vehicle doing a Wheely and says nothing about it being as leaves factory floor or Street legality. Dodge themselves admit to the requirement for race fuel and wheel change and they've got just a tad more authority than Guinness eh? I understand it alright. I even understand the physics of how they've majorly compromised ride and handling just so it can run the fastest quarter mile time. But i guess if i talked rebound and compression rates to you it would go right over your head
You think I'm a bit thick? Also, you still don't understand it, and all the cars that you do understand (Porches, etc.) don't exactly ride like a Rolls-Royce, do they? Also, I would like to see you make a car that can run 9.20s, costs approximately $100,000 and can wheelie. --- Post updated --- That's how far drag cars wheelie.
"It pulls a wheelie" Never been so disappointed. I fail to understand the purpose of this. Okay, it's some engineering madness, but apart from that ?
I think it can wheelie more, it would just be slower down the strip. And the great thing is, you can tune it to do so, using the clever ECU!
not that big actually because in the 70's they put way bigger engines in muscle cars like the coronet, charger and challenger R/T 440/7,2l v8 or the infamous 426-427-429 v8 blocks al 7,0l or the chevelle ss 454 7,4l v8 and these are just a few of many examples so .... i like the car i think this was something that was needed in today's world where everything is so heavely regulated
Yeah I know that, was just a joke, Tbh it's still a silly amount of power for a muscle car, it's just stupid.
LEts hope some idiot doesnt put a bodykit on it. Some libertywalk shit or something. that is ricing out a car. A expensive car.
It already has a widebody kit why would someone put on another body kit? If you want to put a body kit on a high-horsepower challenger you put it on the Hellcat version.
Dodge sure knows their target demographic well, the insecure, rich, frat boy who only want's it because building a 9 second car takes to long and too much thinking, and wants to buy one ready to roll, have it on the track once, get a terrible time, realize it's too terrifying to drive on the street, and then sell it on to someone else at half the price he bought it for. Just for the record, the NHRA nat'l record for Stock eliminator FS/A, the class for supercharged COPO Camaro's, Cobrajet Mustangs, and Dragpak Challenger's is 8.10.
Well geuss what, Someone will come up with a even wider bodykit. And it would probably be used by the same kind of guy that likes libertywalk bodykits but cant afford a ferrari to ruin it.
Ok, all your hate of the new Demon isn't logical. What you are doing is comparable to complaining to the devs that the Hopper is less off-roady than the D-series.
Another sign that the american car industry is using all of it's federal bailout money in an effort to please the 1%
Screw the new hot wheels toy Dodge made/is making. It's unnecessary IMHO. I say bring back Saturn from the dead and Suzuki back to America if anything
Have fun when quality goes down and cost goes up. Notice how the trump way of bringing car manufacture back to the states isn't make it cheaper, but throw a ton of taxes on import instead to price external manufacture out of the market
I think that with proper oversight, the quality would improve. The price would raise however. However, you're right, with the corporations only caring about the bottom line, the cars would still be crap.
