I'm not against the idea of modders being paid for their work, but I'm glad it won't be something implemented by the devs. We all know how that went for Valve and Bethesda. I believe paying for mods should be through things like patreon exclusives, not something officially supported through the game.
Depends you end up with people asking where you got that mod. Send links. --- Post updated --- Hah he said sus!
Dunno if you've seen this thread, but it might be worth a look. It's an interesting discussion with lots of differing opinions.
ahh, now i know what you mean, you wrote gain instead if rain https://www.beamng.com/threads/jungle-rock-island-rainy.25615/
It would cause confusion. Also, rain has been hinted at in the 0.9 changelog. From the devblog " Rain objects: added to Industrial and Small Island" Could this be actually hinting at legitimate rain?
No mod, I just turn on what is mentioned above this post. Also, that was my own screenshot, not something official
Ok, thanks for the info. But what are the "Rain Objects" mentioned in the devblog. I still can't find a difference in-game.
I'm pretty sure it's an object in the level editor, which you can enable to cause rain. I've used it before. Also, going on a limb, it might be related to this picture. I remember finding the thread this was in. One of the devs said that she/he had made a decent rain texture by changing specular values.
