Is there a point hidden in that essay which i'm missing or have you been watching a bit too much A Current Affair. There isn't as many burnouts as you would think. I lived in one of the most feral suburbs of Adelaide for about 4 years and I never heard any burnouts. Its not like if you go for a walk around the block you see a commie doing some peels up the street. They are pretty rare and don't happen as often as some of you Americans may think.
It's bad in my part of town. There is a nice quarter mile stretch down the block from my house, and rich middle eastern (looking at least) kids in bmws and infinitis with no mufflers do pulls at all hours of the night. They have wrecked 2 cars drag racing since last summer at that spot. Take it on the hiway at least and the hell out of my neighbourhood. Every one else but me is trying to sleep. No burnouts tho, Arab money buys you awd it seems.
I don't like blingy chrome exhaust tips. They're too flashy and showy. Especially when the tip is significantly bigger than the exhaust pipe. If you put one of those on you're performing the cardinal sin of making your exhaust look like something it's not.
Pic is broken for me, so I found a great example of one significantly bigger than the exhaust. I hate the big exhaust tip trend on diesels. I can't even stand the 4 to 5 inch tip on my truck, but it looks weird with the exhaust too far under the body so I keep it on there.
Cough *truckrice* cough It's awful around here, between 8 inch exhaust tips on a factory 4 inch exhaust, and and single, center mounted, single stack in the center of the bed, it's almost impossible to find a newer diesel truck without awful exhaust.
Not a big fan of stacks either, unless they're integrated into the headache rack on a flatbed. Hard to find a good example, but it would be something like this: Just with a little less inward slant and maybe a bit smaller. Also found this gem while searching for a good example pic. Why? At that point just get an actual semi truck.
that hurts my brain. The top of the stacks looks 2d, but its not. stop hurting my brain please. as for the truck rice. Depends on the truck for me. Some look good with certain mods. Big ass exhaust tips are hard to pull off though.
It looks like they have driven through Halfords and bolted everything in sight onto the pickup. They'll never get lost while off-roading because there will be a trail of parts to follow back.
What do you all think of this? I hear the Maxima driver agreed to pay for the damage to the 4runner, but if I were him I wouldn't be paying for shit. If they went through insurance I'm almost positive it'd be a no-fault.
I'd agree, but maybe the Maxima hates his insurance company. Maybe another claim would bring his premiums up.
The 4runner went over the double yellow to get up to the intersection, I'd say he's most at fault. Yeah the Maxima driver could have looked in his mirrors and avoided the accident but that was a pretty sketchy maneuver by the 4runner.
A claim would drive any 17 year old's premiums through the roof. I can definitely understand why he'd agree to pay for the 4runner's damage, but he shouldn't have. He isn't solely at fault. He's in one of my classes. I'm gonna get his take on the situation and show him the video. Only at-fault accidents affect premiums, as long as he doesn't make a claim for his own damage it wouldn't change anything. The best course of action is for both of them deal with their own cars outside of insurance. I'd be surprised if the 4runner has anything besides a couple cracked trim pieces. The Maxima has a bit of a mangled quarter but it's only cosmetic.
Couldn't not share this, the reporting is hilarious https://au.news.yahoo.com/video/wat...remove-luxury-bmw-bogged-on-palm-beach/#page1
I see people use the word "jap" all the time online and it's always weirded me out because it's a major no-go word in Canada. I always just assumed people didn't know, but now that I'm finding out about major organisations like Japfest, I'm wondering if it's not considered a slur elsewhere. Any non-Canadians have any insight?
Reminds me of this story from a while ago. Just the fact that some environmentalist thinks one truck stuck in the ocean for a few hours is going to have some huge environmental impact is pretty funny. Probably similar to "Jew" as a slur. I'm sure a lot more people would have been offended when those terms were actually used as slurs but nowadays nobody seems to care quite as much.
Depends on who you're talking to I guess. Most people I know don't give a damn, go to California and it is a different story.
