I think a view adjustment system like in LFS (yes I love LFS) would be awesome.
Where you can adjust your X,Y,Z, Pitch, Yaw, FOV, and G force head movement options.

It's a great idea but the cameras are all nodes in the b/n, so, to move the camera you would have to change the beam lengths of the camera supports.

No, no you don't. You just type in the new position of the camera when you make it. You could change that on the fly I reckon as long as it reloads the car...

What? Is that what your experience tells you?

Cameras are just nodes, supported by 6 beams. You can move the cameras anywhere you want, the same way as a node.

You can already adjust it where you want, change the FOV, and make it able to move with G-Force, just align the support beams in a less rigid structure so it can move a little.

I know that, I was talking real-time changing the position of the camera; without reloading
In LFS when you want to change the camera position you don't have to go to the pit and come back out ( reload the car ), and that's what I meant.

That doesn't move the camera though, does it?

Well it rotates it, but technically you never said anything about what move means in this context and rotation is still movement.

Yeah, sorry about that. Real-time position adjustment without reloading the vehicle, just like LFS; which I think is what the OP wanted. It would still be cool to have, and things like Oculus Rift or TrackIR would actually benefit from it too

No, like moving with 6DOF, being able to lift your head slightly or even put your head outside the window :p

Yes I know this thread is old... but I searched through the forums for an hour and a half and found this to be the best place to post this. So don't get mad at me right away...

I really want to learn to make new internal cameras for different seats in the vehicle. I've looked many times for threads/tutorials about this etc. and none of them helped me figure much out. I've also looked at the page for it on the wiki, but I still can't get a new camera to appear in game. I've tried editing the coordinates of an internal camera in some vehicles, but nothing changed after respawning the car/restarting the game. I can't seem to be able to do this in the 'real-time jbeam editor program' either. If anyone is kind enough, may they explain what to do to create a new camera?

Yes, something like the picture in the post above is what I'm looking for.
