WIP Low floor bus / Fox GL

A new mod for BeamNG inspired by MAN Lion's City, low floor bus.
Currently there are three versions beening developed:
- 18,75m long double Fox GL
- 14,7m long single Fox L
- 12m long single Fox NL

Everything made from scratch. There is a plenty of things to be done, but I hope it will be worth waiting.
If you have something to contribute with, feel welcome to do so. This type of vehicle will surely be fun to drive.

Project name: Fox
Tools:
- Blender 3d
- Inkscape
- Gimp

The mods are on wheels and drives, but all the components are simplified, need more work and attention.
Things made so far:
- suspension
- engine
- body beams
- wheels
- basic mesh, with no details

It is a challange to make it working properly, the rear part make the bus unstable, just like a regular trailer would do. At the moment I use shock absorbers to make it more stable, I can drive up to 60km/h and still keeping control. But it needs further improvement, I will try to implement swing bars. In real life there is a hydraulic that makes the bening part working as expected.

Cool! Made 9m, 12m and 15m solo buses too! And intercity models. And change the name to the CST-xx.120

What kind of engine will this have? Will there be multiple engine types?

 

It looks like Volkswagen Fox, it is not Fox GL.

This thing has multiple engines, including hybrids and CNG, but I am planning to implement the standard one 320hp diesel engine.

 

I have been waiting for a bus like this.... Would create it myself, but the learning curve is still fighting me. Nice work, can't wait to see more!!!

No, I do not think it is needed. The diesel seems to be is optimal.
