So i was just wondering when or will Traction control and electronic steering control be implied? it seams like this would almost fix and or polish the game like 20% or so =P it would be cool on a toggle switch for different styles of driving.

    ESC is Electronic Stability Control.

It would be implemented when someone writes some lines of code to do it.

But I think it should only be on "cars" that would be new enough to have such a thing. Which none of the cars currently in game are extremely modern.

I'd agree on the newer car for ESC, but it would pretty sweet on a toggle button. Well at least for the current cars traction control could defiantly be implied. Traction control would help keep the more insane hp mod, cars on the road, then just turn off to drift ;) Whats funny is i race on Forza 4 and i use none of these :p... lol but on here I can see a use for them.

Forza 4 does a damn good job of appearing realistic, but if you were to get in a real car on a real road you would find it is quite the opposite :p

Alot of games do alot under the hood to make them easier.

Heres one to think about next time you pull of a 360 noscope headshot with a sniper rifle on CoD, did you know call of duty (and also both halo, battlefield and numerous other FPS games, ARMA is possibly one of the only ones that doesnt do this) uses a hidden aim assist. I'm not talking about that thing where the iron sights/scope snap onto the nearest target either. When the game makes the calculations for bullet spread, it actually applies a rather heavy bias in the direction of any target ahead of you, lets say the target is 5 degrees left of the gun, when making the calculation for if the bullet should deflect left/right/up/down as it leaves the barrel it will be biased towards going 5 degrees left deliberately. There are mods for some games to disable it and you do really notice your ammo going down more yet less people being dead :p

    Space engineers is epic.
also, that thing about the fps games is so true, you can notice it, sometimes, which is the main reason I became a sim player at such a young age (like 9 or so) simply because I like doing true-to-life things I can't normally do, like take a super-car from the nineties and smash it into a wall, or ACTUALLY pull off a headshot from 1.5 km (can't use guns here, much sad)

I get a lot of flak at school for being "hipster" (wtf)

but back on topic, yeah, tc would be useful right about now, I'm not into the whole "drifting" scene, but I am into pulling off really tight corners with grip to spare.

Just cause 2 multiplayer, didn't have aim assist early on, never died in shootings because no one ever hit :p then they improved latency (another issue) and you sometimes died but not that often. Then they added aim assist and you find yourself respawning a little too often :p

When we implement some more modern cars we'll surely add traction and stability control :) Should be easy to program.

My friends constantly make fun of me for BNG, KSP, and ROR. I had the Logo that someone made(nadeox i think) as my school computer back ground for awhile, and every time I opened up my laptop, someone would say "what's that". One my friends just refers to it as the "Atom thing". Dumbass.

Try adding a differential with 0 engineTorqueCoef to the front axle of a RWD car. It acts a lot like traction control since it stops giving power to the rear axle if the axle speeds are too different. You can have a 1000 hp RWD car on ice and still have no wheelspin. At least on asphalt it restricts slip a bit too much, so acceleration is slower than normal.

I think some of the effect is there even at 50/50 power distribution, so 4WD vehicles lose power when the axles don't spin at the same speed.
