Surprised the passenger didn't get any dashboard rash. I too did some rallying through my school's dirt car pack. Kept it in second handbraked into the corner and then dumped the clutch and sprayed a heap of rocks. Atleast i waited until there were no cars. On the weekend though i finally installed the race seat and fire extinguisher into my excel race car. Pics will (hopefully) be up within the next couple days.
Lately I have noticed some air missing in one of the tires plus the TPMS warned me of insufficient air on one of the tires (didn't say which one), so last Saturday i filled up all four tires with air just in case. Today I had a final exam in English and when I finished it I started the car and it just beeped the hell saying front right tire punctured (or something like that). Turns out it was half empty so I rushed to the tire shop (It nearly closed) and managed to fix it. Oh and here a picture:
But that's the right? Move your phone holder, it's supposed to be as out of the way as possible, not right smack in middle of glass
Are you in the Facebook group BurnAllTheMK1's? If not, I would highly recommend joining it as there's always cheap parts on there, and people willing to help you out. OT: Replaced the Fuel line on my Audi 90 today. Had to have been the worse spot in the world. --- Post updated --- No, that is a rabbit pickup. That has a square-lamp front clip, making it from the westmorland plant, where it got the badge "rabbit"
MK1s were only sold as Rabbits in Canada, this is my ownership which confirms that. They were only called golfs here when they started selling MK2s and onward.
Someone took both timing cover pieces off so the only timing reference I have is the cam mark. GG previous owner. ECU chip on it's way. Currently at 12PSI and it's pretty darn fast.
Got the yukon all put back together. Went to fire it up and...nothing. It blows the ignition switch fuse when the switch is turned to start. Fun.
Started to put back together interior of my VW Santana, swapped from blue interior color to black, still needs a lot of work....
That blue in combination with black steelies and a black bull bar looks pretty good. OT: Finally fixed the brakes on my pickup. Didn't get any pictures but it's all OEM stuff so not really that exciting. The pedal still feels a little mushy though, I might have some more air to bleed.
Over the past couple days my Subaru Impreza (07, 2.5i) has refused to crank and has been making an odd pinging/knocking noise from the engine bay. Since the battery was on its last legs I put in a long overdue replacement only to be met with the same issue. Luckily however I determined the source of the odd noise (which sounded like valve knock) to be coming from the EGR valve, however removing and inspecting the part shows no issues.. meaning somewhere there is likely a ground that has come loose in the engine. The other possibility is something I found Here that has something to do with the security system. The unfortunate part of the scenario is it happened the day my father left on vacation for a week, meaning finding any particular tool in his convoluted storage system that only he understands is next to impossible. I can only hope this electrical gremlin is one of the above solutions, because I have no idea what else it could be. *no photos, nothing interesting about this repair to show.
took it for a mot failed on rear brake effecicny too low headlight aim too low battery terminals insecure
What a crock of shit. I put a dent in mine yesterday running over a tree. I don't care, but it's the first dent I've ever put in a car.
