Bid, one friend of mine suggested, that we you should include caravan racing to the banger racing. It's actually very neat idea, since no one has done it yet. Basically, all you would have to do is to add selection to add caravans to the cars. And the only config difference to the cars would be the tow hitchs, the current configs would do just fine in that sort of racing as well. Btw, Beamo, should we make the car configs to be more consistent throughout the mod ? Currently, the car configs differ a lot from the mod's stock configs, IE, when you select any additional mod with car package, the cars on those have different configs. I made the configs for the mod, but they're a bit different, what they are in the additional mods. Basically, all I wanted to have is manual gearboxes, welded diffs and reasonably tuned engines + all the unnecessary stuff removed from them (like ABS, ESC), so I think that those sort of things should be present in additional mods as well to have consistency all over the mod's gameplay.
Bunrside is the weakest car in the beamng.....with a little hit on the front ...it can set on fire!!!! And u should separate the muscle cars from large cars. Suv ,Van ,Covet too!! (covet is the smallest car) Also sometimes AIs drive to fast....and always hit me at the driver's side. This is a suggestion it's up to u!
My unimportant two cents: 1. Burnside is one of the strongest if you stay in reverse 2. The classes would be too small. Burnside and Crown Vic in Large and then Barstow and Moonhawk in Muscle. There's no variety 3. SUV and the Van are very strong but there isn't much of a difference to the trucks and the Covet is fun to destroy or try to win with- Keep it in 4. There's no drivers in the cars lol
1.Hah..yes burnside is the strongest in reverse .....but because of a smart ass AI.....u think I can reverse in da whole round? 2.Yea...it might too small......But I dont want my fullsize to fight against muscle cars or a strong ass burnside. 3. van vs. van ,SUV vs. SUV ,Pickup vs. Pickup..... \(•_•)/ 4. I like sonethin' called REALISTIC but it just a suggestion @bidwars
Van v Van, SUV v SUV, Barstow v Moonhawk and Grand Marshall v Burnside would all get boring really quick. When you go to a derby do you want to see only 74 Impalas or do you want to see multiple different cars? I can see your point in only pick ups only because there is many different configs and your mods to have a variety but even then it would get stale for me. The Van is definitely one of the strongest rigs available in the derby but not a guaranteed winner. The Grand Marshall is the same story within it's class. And this isn't a demolition derby game so I'm not expecting AI smart enough to avoid driver's door hits. Would I like more realistic derby mechanics in this mod? Like for instance, aiming for the wheels, protecting your radiator, blocking with your driver's door, sandbaggers and mad dog AI? ABSOLUTELY! But in the end this is just a derby mod in a game just about wrecking cars so AI driving into my drivers door is a non issue. Variety is key and being there's only a few cars in each class I would like them to stay put. Hopefully this mod can get to the point where we can choose who we run against including mod cars we downloaded (If that's possible)
umm..ok But same cars with different style.....cool!! Ah shit!! I make my own private derby cars..that's why i never get bored added sign on the hood ,metal bumpers! lots of fun! but read the last line , it just my own opinion...and u can't change it,and it's depend on author... --- Post updated --- Never know that u can use manual gear ..in derby car XDD --- Post updated --- This is my little video ,which sucks
--- Post updated --- I know it's your opinion, then I added mine for a reasonable discussion about our favorite mod lol
Suv like suburban and ramcharger run with standard fullsize pickups in the same class --- Post updated --- Suv like suburban and ramcharger run with standard fullsize pickups in the same class. The moonhawk is strong enough to run with the Vic. So might as well throw the Barstow in too. I've won quite a few rounds with the Barstow. Not necessarily sandbagging. Just gotta make very smart hits!
thx fo telling me that Sometimes the smartass AI try to hit me on the front with a high speed....And my barstow and burnside always catch on fire!! XDXDXD
I would have to guess so and I agree! Hoods in demolition derbies are generally held down by threaded rod ran down to the frame, torch a hole for the rod, drop a plate on top of it as a washer and thread on your nut. Just one on each side to the frame in front of a- arms and maybe 1 rod welded to firewall on each side and thru hood and 1 that goes from hood to inner fender on each side. Could do less than 6 if you wanted a more stock class or could use chain/wire instead.
We might have to scrounge up some pics to show him just to give him a really good idea. I was going to do the same for all the different header stacks too and for anyone else who was interested in modding new parts
Beamo, how didu manage to do a derby with only your car mods in it, your mod is so fucking awsome and i would like to derby with only them, with truck mostly, i do derby irl and this mod is the best so far for me, i'd also like to see welded and roded cars, cause frame are weak as f*ck, one last thing, ive workd a lot with autocad and inventor 2d 3d drawing, i guess it would be easy for me to mod/make cars right? I'd like to get into it but i dont wanna buy any programs, thx, here's a pic of my lincoln for this year
You can pick Beamo's Modded vehicles on the version 5.0 release Alpha Update 5.0 AI and Mods https://www.beamng.com/resources/demolition-derby-the-fair-grounds.1784/updates
