Why does it always seem like reality is always controlled by the people who are most annoying?

I heard of someone here in the States who got 20 years and a six-digit fine for illegal possession of an S15. Replacing a functioning catalyst can get you 5 years and $25K. Sex offenders have got away with lighter sentences! Something really needs to be adjusted here.

Moving down the scale of seriousness - if you're driving and you're in a hurry, you're a jerk, but if you're not in any hurry at all and are plodding down a two-lane road at 5-10 under the limit, you're not? Huh?

At work - corporate people and, often, salaried management at the store level, have expectations that are nothing short of lip-flappingly insane. Yeah, sure I can clean the drive-up window from the outside while still taking orders. I'll just split into two, because obviously I can do that. But I still had to try, even if it meant leaning way in the window to reach my computer terminal from outside when someone inevitably showed up mid-task.

State needs to do some work on the highway? No problem, we'll just turn 10+ miles into a double fine zone all at once and leave it like that all summer, even if work is only occurring in a small part of this zone at any one time.

    Because covfefe, obviously.

What!? You drive a Japanese import, you unpatriotic bastard! [proceeds on 30 minute rant about Pearl Harbour]
but that happened over 70 years ago, surely that's enough time fur us to grow and move on
Shaddup traitor!, you make me sick! **flies away on bald eagle**

You bloody monster! Think of the polar bears!! *promptly points to sad image of polar bears floating on small ice**
I know that's sad and all, but don't you think we could focus our efforts on more worthy causes, like food shortage in 3rd world countries?
    Shaddup! POLER BEARZ!!!!!
Bit of pedophilia never hurt anyone that we know of...

Don't you know that speeding kills? Never mind in car distractions, poor physical condition or inadequate driving knowledge, speed and only speed will kill you! Can you imagine what would happen if you speed? probably mayhem and certain death.

Can you imagine the horror that would unfold if one of the workers were to be run over ? I thought so, 10mph for you!

Blame Mercedes. Their US-market cars were losing sales to foreign market cars people were buying and importing, so they lobbied congress and got the import laws we have now passed.
The really unfortunate part of it is that it will probably never be fixed because the car enthusiast population has no power to influence congress.

I know all that (and that, even more infuriatingly, they've used the gray market themselves to test the waters, both before and after that law passed), but 20 years? Are you freakin' kidding me? I love this country, but I'll be the first to admit we have a serious problem here with making felonies out of misdemeanors, and also out of things that any reasonable, normal person would let slide.

I also think that, when Mercedes came whining to the government about how the gray market was killing their business, Congress should have just gone "How do you think Detroit felt when you guys showed up? Suck it up, buttercups!"

My amplifier came today. A very nice amp indeed, Technics gear is very underated IMO.

    mfw I killed a hacker on CS:GO

I'm on Mirage, in palace. He comes up stairs and jumps to triple stack and I catch him in mid air with a headshot. Not even close, baybee.

You don't know patience until you try to watch a 10min 480p video on satellite. It takes a total of 47 minutes, mostly buffering.

Is this why documentation of art related stuff always looks so wanky?

I'm literally about to take cutlery back to the store because it has failed within 50 days of purchase. Cutlery, it has no moving parts, its literally just bits of metal. Humanity is screwed...

Oh fuck me. Just spent £40 on a cutlery set under the basis that it should last me at least a while with minimal amounts of bs. Got back home and several of the knives and the spoons are defective.
I Swear to God I am going to gouge someone's eyes out with a defective spoon soon.

How are you even having this problem? The closest I've ever come to defective cutlery was breaking a plastic spoon while trying to scoop ice cream with it.

I just don't understand. All I want is some cutlery. Just solid lumps of stainless steel in a reasonable shape. Why is this so hard? I don't want the chintzy plastic handled ones that go rotten at the joints or start to wobble. Just solid lumps of metal. That is all I want.

So far I have gone through
    1. A £1.75, 16pc set from Asda (walmarts UK division). So far the best set I have owned and still own, even if they do hurt your hands to use (handles are slightly sharp) and can be bent between your fingers.
    2. A £20, 16pc set from Asda. My favourite set, since they were black stainless steel. Turns out after 5 washes the coating starts to rub off. I did foresee this issue to some extent before buying them but figured they wouldn't still be on sale if it were a problem. What's the frigging point in £20 cutlery if it can't be washed... (Then again, I have bought coffee mugs that cracked when hot water is placed inside them from there, so not entirely surprised)
    3. The £40 set was a 24pc Charingworth Mimosa set. Looks to be a little more pricey than that in the US mind you at over $200 on amazon.
I have only been living away from home for around 18 months and am now looking for a 4th set. I just want cutlery without the BS.

I am genuinely offended that a £40 set of cutlery had so many defective parts. I flat out don't get it.

Until the mods tighten down on underage users it's going to get worse and worse. Leave while you can, your work is really good - maybe try another sim like rFactor or FSX?

But hey, what do I know, I have no respect ;)

Just saying, the Rfactor part is good, the second version has a amazing tire model and a lot of good mods. graphics may not be Assetto Corsa, but that doesn't matter.
