That makes the large assumption that this will ever be "finished." There's always room for improvements and new content. Then there's also fixing the mod after new game updates break it.
True tho well I was saying mostly done, as I do know this mod will never truly be finished, was just curious
@FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL Can you please explain this video to me? Me and my friend were confused how our friend got this pack working, even though I know and even tested it to make sure it doesn't work anymore... I'm pretty sure he has the latest version because everything works and is there... I'm really confused! We can post this in a PM but i'd rather post here incase anyone else wants to know...
I know that, I have it, but it doesn't work anymore with the newer version of BeamNG. I'm just confused how he got it working that's all. Also, I should say I believe he got it from a friend, but still doesn't make any sense of how he got it to work on newest versions.
Well since people aren't meant to have that version of the mod anymore, were not concerned about it not working. It doesn't work because of game updates changing how parts of vehicles work.
Had to do something with my father, that's why late reply. Okay. Just wondering if he joined the group, and how it worked. Thanks for clearing it up!
i dont understand why we cant make truck like grave digger and maxd, i was told due to copyright reasons but why copyright something from a game that wasent ment just to be fun.
Because of legal problems. Just because you think they should add something because of a fun factor doesn't make it legal to do so. Plus, the guys working on this mod are busy people with jobs and lives. They cant just sit at their computer all day and magically whip up a mod at everyone's request.
Copyright allows for companies to make money and keep other companies from just willy nilly stealing their brand, product, logo, etc. With a game like BeamNG which costs money, the developers have to get permission/licensing to use a name, brand, etc. If they allow creators to create mods using copyrighted material, the developers can face a fine and lawsuit if the company decides to file suit. In a world of laws, we have to respect them. However, as long as the CRD 2.0 and other chassis are not official BeamNG mods, and are not sponsored by the developers, trucks such as MaxD and Grave Digger can be made and distributed. Even then a company like FELD can still press charges, although it is less likely because the Beam creators did not officially add them as a mod. F2YS and many others in the community have done a great job putting out a fantastic mod for us to enjoy and reap the rewards of their hard work. Sit tight, F2YS has stated that he wants to get this current CRD close to perfect before he focuses his attention fully on the other chassis, bodies, etc. Just be patient and enjoy what you have, because this mod has come a long way already, even from when i started following the mod and using it, which was only 6-7 months ago at most. Sorry for the long-winded post. Wanted to get that out there, hope this helps so people who are curious.
The old pack works just fine. It was discontinued, but never stopped working. Anyone who downloaded the pack back when it was available can still use it. It's not being updated anymore and conflicts with the new mod, but works ok in isolation.
Another reason there isn't a Grave Digger, Max-D or any other truck currently is because we are trying to do, quality over quantity. (whether you think that or not is up to you) Meaning, we are trying to make the most realistic version of a Grave Digger we can get. We know it's not going to be 100% spot on, but we're trying to get as close as we can.
