Yesterday Adblock+ had a complete foul-up and stopped blocking ads for the most part. In-page ads on YouTube were still blocked, but avatars were suddenly showing up on this site and another site where I have them blocked, and ads were showing up on other sites. A bunch of blocking and whitelisting later, everything is back to the way it was, except in-video ads are now showing up on YouTube again. Adblock+'s official site is no help, as it simply states that their product is incapable of blocking in-video ads in Flash video (NOTE: I use a "force Flash player" Firefox plugin because the last time Google tried to railroad everyone into HTML5 it decided not to let me view video above 360potato), even though it was doing just fine until it had a random brain fart a couple days ago. I can't figure out how to block this. I'm about to switch to different but functionally similar add-on; beyond that, does anyone have any ideas for how to make this thing behave again?

I'd recommend using uBlock Origin instead.

I remember reading Adblock does not block everything. They got a list of 'Acceptable' ads that are allowed (Not sure how legit is that).
A better alternative to that is Ublock.

I have that setting turned off (yes, I checked). Like I said, it was doing fine until just recently. Switching to a different "force Flash" plugin may have solved it for now, stay tuned. If that turns out to have not worked, I'll look into Ublock.

I have AdBlock, Adblock Plus and Ublock all working on my web browser because I find some adverts to be seriously annoying and it does help that if one cant stop a dodgy site I have another 2 to stop them so they all work in unison together and thats how I have it set up

Yeah, adblock is basically worthless. No clue why I still use it. I have another one currently, can't remember the name though. Adblock lets through way too many ads these days. The only acceptable ads are no ads at all.

I am against blocking ads. It's rude to people trying to make money. I just deal with it.

But they're rude when I'm reading about a fire in my local news and suddenly a loud, obnoxious video ad that you can't close appears. With only one news source for my area, the only way to keep my sanity is to block the ads. Not to mention that the local news is incompetent, and that the comments sections are 99 times more cancerous than the tiny amount if spam here...

The only time I would use Adblock is when going on those obnoxious websites that have a zillion different ads.

Any wikia banner ad. Any of them. They're all annoying laggy pieces of crap. Not to mention that I got in trouble for having my wiki for my game on wikia, as wikia has a strange tendency to put ads on wikis (Any one) for "Adult Stores"
