---------------------------The release thread: Latest version V1.0---------------------------

    Cessna 120

After a ridiculous week of nothing but modding Kamil_ and Myself are proud to present our Cessna
The plane is a Cessna 120 which was first produced around 1946. It is still a WIP and we focused on getting it to fly so we could release it asap. There will be frequent updates, doors being the most obvious one! Constructive criticism appreciated :). The only thing is
can you please not make any mesh edits to this model without my permission.

    The controls are:

    G/E : Elevators
    F/H : Ailerons
    left arrow/right arrow : Rudder

Up arrow/down arrow : Propeller (forward and backwards)
Use Automatic gear mode or manual with clutch (automatic highly recommended!)

Here are some pictures and a video of the plane:
    puregrid_preview.jpg
    Screenshot 2013-12-10 21.32.24.jpg

The best video of the plane we find will be displayed here:

    Tips for flight:

    1. [*=center]To take off, hold the up arrow to accelerate, then press and hold G to provide lift. Acceleration is not automatic so you will have to use the up arrow and down arrow to keep your speed whilst in flight.
[*=center]While flying, you want to use T and G to go up and down, F and H to tilt the plane, and the up and down arrows to accelerate and decelerate. It is not as simple to fly as Sam's plane as we didn't want to dumb down the controls (this is a simulator after all :p)
[*=center]If the plane feels unresponsive and won;t turn properly, you are going to slowly. Increase your airspeed by holding the up arrow.
[*=center]The plane flies best in automatic if you are inexperienced

[*=center]Try to avoid doing mad over-speed as the stress on the planes airframe and wings will cause it to be damaged leading it to fly differently

[*=center]We recommend using a long starting strip or starting in the air if you cant find one long enough. Beaches are generally a good place.
[*=center]Try to land as slowly as possibly with the plane titled slightly backwards, aim for long open stretches and hit the down arrow to slow.

You can download the plane here,
    View attachment Cessna120.zip

    To install the plane
(read as it is different to normal)
    1. drop all the file inside the .ZIP into your beamNG drive directory and select "merge" then "overwrite and replace all conflicts" when prompted to merge the files.
    2. If you are updating the mod don't forget to delete the old Cessna 120 folder first.

    My TFGH keys won't work
You must install the .lau files in the correct place. if following the install instructions didn't work, manualy drop electrics.lau into
BeamNG > Lau > Vehichles and replace the old one.

Thanks to Miura for his huge help on getting the propeller working aswell :)
We have more versions planed for the future which we are going to release in this thread although we are open to suggestions :)

    Enjoy

    Fundador & Kamil_

    Re: Cessna 120

Bikes ? Anybody ever thought of it ? DICE just released theirs in their first BF4 DLC. Now it's time for BeamNG to do it ;).

Then if we can play further with the physics why not have tanks or other vehicles shooting things...

    Oh and boats eventually :).

No way to balance a motorbike right now really, besides sticking a node without collision far below the bike to lower the centre of gravity below the ground.

    Motorcycle and side car perhaps

Can't tell you, that would ruin the surprise! ;)

Good job on the model, looks like it will be fun to crash

It is possible, but would be extremely difficult to control; and there would probably need to be a node to lower the cog like you said, because you wouldn't be able to stop :p (and then go)
