Exactly. Base model 2.0l engine is awful after driving a V8. Pull out of a side street into just a 60km/h zone and I have to hold the pedal to the floor for a while to get there. So slow, but parking in it is a dream compared to the Commo
So, once I get enough money I want to buy a car. I am thinking of a buying a Toyota Celica (7th gen). I have seen a few videos on them, and heard they are not the best cars, but are ok. Has anyone owned a Celica, and if so, what are your experiences with them?
I keep finding myself on CL looking for something to build into a go-fast toy. Good thing you're not in Australia https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/perth/cars-vans-utes/1978-ford-falcon-coupe/1145416187 https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/virginia/cars-vans-utes/hq-monaro-coupe/1151083107 I should note, both of these cars are coupes, which are much rarer and sought after compared to their sedan and utility versions. That said, any of the cars you've posted above would most likely fetch at least 20K USD over here. Classic cars (in decent condition) are ridiculously expensive in Aus
Just going to leave this here. I don't know how, but I need to find an excuse to say "there lurks the skid demon" at some point before I die.
The Yukon has a siren speaker installed up front cause it used to be a cop car, and I want to be able to talk through it. The thing is, though, I can't find a pa controller unit thing with a mic that doesn't also do a bunch of sirens and horns and stuff. I'm not sure if such a thing even exists. I might have to rig up something myself. The only problem with that is that I have no idea what I'm doing.
Just wondering if there are cars that are faster then 4.4 seconds from 0-60 and cost around 60k? The only ones i found are the challenger hellcat and the bmw m240i but the hellcat is to expensive in germany and the m240 is boring to me and i dont really like the design of it.
This is why I have a dashcam. The officer initially filed a bogus report pinning the accident on the Pontiac driver, then the department refused to release the footage until the city stepped in and called them out on their bullshit. If that hadn't happened, the innocent driver would have been screwed. I'm so happy that small town Police departments aren't a thing in Canada. They just don't have the resources for proper training or anyone to keep them in check.
why not a second-fourth gen f body? they are cheap for one that needs little to no work and most of the engines can be hopped up a lot here's some nice ones in your area clean 98 firebird formula auto https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/6177234831.html clean trans am with some goodies https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/6177714519.html 88 formula with a bad engine but a clean body 383 stroker build? https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/6168114466.html 98 trans am auto https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/6177097805.html 79 trans am 400 auto https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/6140108863.html that's it for firebirds in st louis but camaros are similar price and use the same engines in the 3rd/4th generation
These are well within budget, don't know what local pricing will be like for you though http://uk.caterhamcars.com/cars/seven-420 (you may want a couple optional extra's, such as a windscreen... doors... roof xD , however you could get one of these plus a second daily driver) http://www.lotuscars.com/elise-sport-220 The VW Golf R gets pretty close If you are ok with second hand there are all sorts of Jaguars, Subaru's, Porsche's, Audi's, Mercede's, Toyota's, VW's and so on.
That wouldnt matter as its just for an argument wich i have with a friend of mine who said that theres nothing faster than a m240i
I'd rather stay with midsize cars, but if I had to go for a smaller car it would be either a 70-81 F-body or possibly an 82-92, but only if I found a screaming deal on on it. the 93-02's came down with a severe case of shapeless blob-itis, like basically every other car made after 2000. Also, here's the first sanctioned, competitive run for the red '78. Even with a missed shift it still had 38 ft. over second place in it's class.
