Which is exactly why I left the review I did. Suggestions and comments on the current state of the mod, as I haven't seen anything myself that implies whats next in an update. How can you make a judgement on a mod if you don't download and try for yourself? I already removed the mod because it wasn't to my preference. Yes youre correct, really isn't that difficult. And to your point about the facelift being older than the original Sunburst, may I ask you to look up what an automotive facelift or mid-generational refresh is? Because I can most certainly assure you that changing the front end of a car to an older model, rather than updating to more recent design style for a car manufacturer, is not a facelift. Im not trying to sht on Sh3lbYe for his mod, its not bad for what it is, but its not correct to call it a facelift.
How to suggest things?? Post it in here not in a goddamn review and it's correct enough to call it facelift :/ here! - Wikipedia dafaq bro...... now look at 99's mod and Sh3lbye's mod and wrinkle's mod then wash your eyes THEY ARE ALL FACELIFT CARS 666
99's SBR4 and wrinkle's D-Series still keep the same basic styling, but update some of the design to make it newer. The SBR4 facelift is more akin to what most refreshes do today which is headlight and bumper changes. The Roamer is directly based off of the D-Series, and in-game years have it from '94-'99, versus the D-Series which is '88-94, so I'd consider that a facelift according to the devs' styling. From left to right, 2002 Impreza pre-facelift (2nd gen), 2004 Impreza first facelift (2nd gen), 2006 Impreza second facelift (2nd gen), 2008 Impreza (3rd gen). You can see the progression of the design from an older model to newer design styling. Can you see the changes from the 2002 to 2008 model? Think of the Sunburst as loosely like the 2006-2008 style. You won't slap the front end of the 2002 model onto the 2008 one and call it a facelift in car design. Left to right, 2005 Altima facelift (3rd gen), 2015 Altima pre-facelift (5th gen), 2016 Altima facelift (5th gen). Another example, Nissan's current design language is nicknamed V-motion, and you can see that on most all their current model cars. From the 2015 to 2016 facelift, you can see this update most notably in the grill with the v-shaped chrome strip. A facelift doesn't take a previous generation front end like the 2005 Altima and put it on a completely redesigned 2016 model. That is all that Im saying in that this Sunburst mod isn't really a facelift. The designs of the front and rear do not match up (more natural, curved tailights to more blocky, squarish headlights).
Maybe that's because the mod isn't finished yet and if you cared to look you would see: https://beamng.com/threads/developm...r-contributing-post.1575/page-632#post-627526 That
Of all the stupid things you could be arguing about on the forums, you decided to type an essay on why a mod that changes the look of a car shouldn't be called a facelift. Are you for real? Just let it go, no one else besides you (Edit: and one other unique forum member) cares.
Which is why I left my own opinion and criticism of what's currently out. Also, I only just found the mod recently and dont go to the site forum often, with no knowledge of page 632 out of 634 for a public development thread. I already said my piece, and there have been a few who agreed with the point. I tried to at least explain the reasoning for what was said just because people had an opinion that wasn't praising the mod up and down and others left reviews calling them haters. So i apologise if im arguing over something this petty.
If someone didn't already post this, well when I downloaded the mod and load any Sunburst without using the facelift parts it gives me a warning saying, "missing parts about facelift.dae blah blah blah," then I click okay and think it has to do with your facelift mod. Then it loads up. It is a bug, but not that big unless you think of all the time I load the Sunburst. So yeah. Does anyone else have that warning?
Well an upate to that, I did clear my cache, and it still popped up the warning so I am sadly going to delete this mod. It is still great, but my computer doesn't want it running.
